As strange as the title sounds, it's only best way to describe it.
I live with my mother and her lazy ass husband. They have an office which I utilize and take advantage of, where the office is located is in the smallest room. And from what a friend of mine, who my mother was renting to, told me as he live in this room that he saw a ghost. I always known that someone died in this apartment and that they're not really dangerous people. I never expected to be a child. From what he told me, and the rest of my family before he left, was that the ghost was a little girl.
That could explain the soft giggles I hear in the middle of the night, and usual I think the TV would be on or that my mom would shack up with her man. But it wasn't. So around the same time I hear talking and giggling. A child's giggle. I was bout 7 months pregnant at that time. I got out of bed dazed and half sleep and I walked to the living room and I remembered saying "Yes grandpa?" While no one was there. I fully woke up and realized that I was out of bed. I shrugged it off and went to bed.
Shortly after my daughter was born did I really felt someone near me. Tugging on my clothes like a young child, perhaps a toddler, does. Before my daughter was born, my little sister came home for the summer from boarding school and she slept in my bed. As she slept in my bed she would hold my 7 going on 8 months pregnant belly and rubbing it softly in her sleep. Shortly after she left and I was on the last week of my pregnancy. I was napping in my room and felt the same sensation. I woke up to find that I had a small hand print, a bruise, on my belly.
When I came home from the hospital. Nothing much happen. I hear voices, giggling. Zoe's toys being place elsewhere from where I last placed them.
A few nights a go as I was working on the computer with several different things, I felt my shirt being tugged. I looked behind me to see if it was my daughter, since she can crawl and pick herself up from the floor and she usually tugs on me, no one was there. I went back to was I was doing and I felt someone's breath on my left ear and her someone whisper "Hey" I jumped and turned around, the door wide open and the lights on. I got up and checked out the living room and then my room. I check my daughter in her crib sleeping. So I proceeded to the office to complete my work.
Just the other day, my husband and I were watching TV. Zoe was playing with her toys and just suddenly the smell of candy came from no where. I asked him "Hey baby, do you smell candy?" He then said to me "You smell it too? It must be coming from outside they are having a fair." I told him, "No.. all the windows are close and the AC is on." I then lifted up Zoe and smelt her. She smelt of cheetos and cookies and it wasn't her. I smelled myself and I smell like clean clothes. The scent of candy just lingered for a while and then it disappeared.
Now this morning as I was rushing to get Zoe ready for Day Care and dressing for my Job Readiness Class I noticed another bruise on my leg. I thought to myself this wasn't here yesterday. And Rudee (my husband) didn't do this… I stared at it for a moment and counted the five little bruises. To my surprise did I found out that it was another hand-print. I placed my fingertips over them to measure and found that my fingers were too big. I placed my daughters fingertips over them and found that they were too small. Strange I thought. I didn't pay it much mind and just got my morning ritual out the way and headed out the door.
Later on today I started to do some research on the company that called me in for interviews next week. Then I started to hear faint crying. My computer is next to a closet and next to a window so it's right in the middle, at a corner. I looked outside to see if someone was crying. No one was there. I check on my daughter. It wasn't her.
The faint crying I heard wasn't your typical baby cries. We ALL know what baby's sound like when they're crying. But this faint cry was more like a young child sniffling and sighing, but you could tell it was crying. I know for a fact that my neighbors upstairs all have grown kids that cuss and vandalize. This cry sound like it came from a 5-8 year old. I leaned my ear up again the wall. It was coming from the wall. I got up immediately and ran to my room next door and my daughter was still sleeping and I still hear it. I looked outside no one was there. I pressed my ear against the wall again and the muffled faint sobbing asked for it's mother Mommy.
I then went back to my office to collect my notebook, because I was writing down directions to places that I need to go. And as I reached for my pen. I felt a tug on my shirt. I lightly brushed it away and it tugged again. I turned around and no one was there.
It's never been this active before. Since I had Zoe around it's been bothering me more so than ever. From what I noticed it, or she, is not a very dangerous ghost. I know she's near by because my stomach turns to knots and I'm being tugged or I feel someone playing in my hair. It never gets cold though. But sometimes I smell the scent of candy. Out the clear blue. Like right now… I can smell it as I type this blog. It smells like strawberries or cherries.
What I think is that she wants what Zoe has… a mommy. I mean why else am I the only one being bothered by her. No one else can't feel her but me.

Shit…
i like to think ghosts are real. but i would be terrified if i were you. the supernatural scares me, but i love it at the same time
I’m a man… I wasn’t scared by this…

Holy shit, maybe I was. I’m scared by things like this… Ghosts and things…
Yes, I have seen my share of “supernatural” beings. I was at camp a couple years back… We entered our cabin, and there was a red-faced see-through man with roses sitting on one of my friend’s (the leaders) bed. It dropped the flowers, and disappeared.
Was probably the scariest thing I have witnessed.
At one point I used to get scared. Scared to the point that I froze. Especially at night. My closet stays open because I have way to much stuff. I feel my stomach turn to knots and I’m scared to move. But I move because my daughter’s crib is right next to the closet so I have too. And when I do turn I have a sharp pain in my stomach and I feel that someone’s touching me or see a shadow disappear.
I don’t let fear control me, not like it used too.
That’s pretty scary
Guess some stuff can’t ever be explained, nor should they ever be.
I absolutely do not believe in ghosts. The process of the supernatural is..utterly chaotic.
I believe in hallucinations, brain pathogens, and fear. Fear is what controls us, it manipulates what we think, what we feel, what we hear and taste and smell.
Our brain is so immensely capable of completely creating an alternate universe specifically designed for one person.
That’s what I think this is. You, and your subconscious fear are creating this tugging, this noise, this odd sensation of horror.
EDIT: I do, however, like the way you wrote about your experience. It brings the reader into your life, and I could literally feel the little Maggie girl tugging at my pajamas.
Which is quite scary 😛
She’s a friendly ghost I believe.
._.
But still frightening…
pirkid: I believe what you’re saying to a certain degree. However, I don’t let my fear get the best of me, I have other bigger issues to worry about. So I try not to read into it too much. And if ‘odd’ things do happen around here i do my investigation and find a logical explanation. The crying in the wall… or the other side of the wall. I couldn’t find it. (for example)
And as I forgot to mention in this blog. When I lived in the smallest room. My lock on the door often shook as though someone was trying to come in then it suddenly flung wide open and hit the closet door. I looked for the cause. Like an open window or a strong breeze. There wasn’t any and the window was closed. And I know I’m not clinically insane because I checked out fine. I don’t know how to say this into words, but I’m trying the best way I can. I’m just not scared of it (her).
I can’t even find a logical explanation about the smell of hard candy. And I’m just a chocolate person.
[Edit] I can’t even explain the bruising… and I don’t bruise easily
You should like, put some food out at night and see what happens to it :O
ROFL. Typical Dest1 answer. XDDD I lol’d.
AGH this scared the shit out of me! I even told my brother and I’m creeped out. I DO believe in ghosts, but I’m yet to see or feel one.
You should talk to it some day. Do you know how cool that would be to have a ghost friend?
“Yo ghost, can you go to the store, and steal me some soda?”
or something like that. Try it, please. lol
I don’t think it works that way lol
Whatever you say lol
o_O;
I know most people are skeptics bout this sorta thing, but for some reason, I totally believe it. That’d make me really sad if there was a little girl ghost around my house.
Have you told anybody else about her?
Woah scary D:
…that’s rather frightening.
I think I’ll go cry in my closet now.
you dumbo she’s not an invisible dog.
Sheesh Aaru I don’t see how you could be calm. I’d scream and cry my head off. As much as the supernatural is cool, it’s also scary T.T *is scared now* Now if the power goes out again Ill be a nervous wreck x_x
What? :S
I agree with Pirky. The way you wrote your encounters was great, and really sucked me in.
I don’t believe in ghosts, but maybe you should get checked out. It might be post-partum psychosis depending on how old your child is.

As I said before I check out fine. And Post-Partum Psychosis. Really are you serious? *laughs a little*
What you said slightly offend me, and as everything else that I do… I just let it go.
I’m sorry if I offended you, but it’s possible.
I didn’t read the part about your getting checked out though. =P
Sorry ’bout that.
omg aarthi that totally wasnt what my quote said!! D=
HAX
LOL.
The good Ol’ topic of the Supernatural.
Well, down to the facts that I believe in.
Ghosts, they exist. However, they never try to contact us, not unless they hold a grudge, or wants to thank you for something that once happened, probably in your previous life.
That could be a fragment of your imagination, but in your case, I doubt so. She is wandering, trying to find what she needs, and yes, a mum. Try to find what happened to her, lay her to peace. And this would stop. But if it dosen’t, believe in your religion, be it Christian, Buddhist etc.
I think Christians do not believe in the Paranormal, but there are too many evidence around us, that it exists.
-screams-
DON’T MAKE ME ANY MORE SCARED. I spent half a day discussing scary stories with others on a forum yesterday and I’m scared out of my frikkin boots. Or I would be if I owned boots. Perhaps I should have used “shoes”, but boots sound better. And I just watched various videos of Silent Hill 2.
-cowers in corner-
I’m Christian and I believe in evil spirits -not ghosts of dead people- out to get us. For laughs. Or, pleasure. Which is laughs. Yes, I think they do it just to terrorize us. For fun. In fact not too long ago I heard my door knocking and I’m the only one at home. They must have cherished the look on my face. D: Sadistic monsters!!
maybe little maggie thinks ur her mommy? since u just had your kid and everything?
Perhaps…
If this had happened to me I’d probably shit in my pants O_O
I’d never be able to handle something like that. I’d freak out way too much.
I…
shat bricks. 🙁 Damn, that must be creepy.
