[Arladerus] April Fool's Joke

By In Uncategorized

Today, for no reason, I decided to do something more self-humiliating than normal. It was 3rd period; before lunch. We had a geography test on NGO groups and international trade. Pencils were scratching furiously onto the paper. Black marks from the tips squiggled (or maybe it's just me? My writing looks like squiggly lines/cursive) and wrote well thought out answers to the 4 page test. I had finished the test about 10 minutes before lunch. I sat there and talked with the people in front of me (quite quietly though). The teacher was oblivious to any quiet chatter, as there were loud presentations going on in the room next to us.

The previous period, we had science. Our teacher is crazy. Very very odd. As a bonus question for a lab report, he put the question as: "Two members of Cheap Trick were cool and two were nerds. Who was which, and what did they play?" And also, for the title page to lab reports, he doesn't give a damn if the illustrations are related are not. What he wants is 50 year old Volvo's, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Anyways, today, he showed us a movie that was 54 years old (he says anything that's newer than 50 years old sucks). It was called "Rebel Without A Cause". The actor who plays the main character has been hailed as one of the best actors. Sadly, he died the year the Rebel Without A Cause was released due to a head-on collision with another car. Anyways. There was a quote in the movie that our teacher played over and over again (like a Rick Roll or YouTube Poop). The first one was "You're tearing me apart!" The second one was "But I am involved! WE'RE ALL INVOLVED!"

Back to geography class. 5 minutes before the bell rang for lunch, it was all planned out. It was dead silent. You could hear a pin drop. Suddenly, I shouted at the top of my lungs, "THIS GEOGRAPHY TEST IS TEARING ME APART!" The class was startled. The right ear of the person sitting next to me must have hurt. A LOT. It was awkward, because the class knew what was going on (Gifted class, so all our cores are together), but the teacher was quite surprised. But perfect excuse.

Me: "…………………………………………. A…. April Fool's…!"

Great! April Fool's! Here's the scene with the famous line.

But really, the acting is so good. He was freaking 23/24 when he acted this, and he was acting like an immature 1st grader.
