Wandering Echoes -Poem collection 1-

By In Uncategorized

Okay, my turn to have a go at this poem thing. Hopefully I can start a neat poem collection. Here's two poems.

Moonlust

I howled at the moon,
The white-faced crescent only leered back at me.
As I stood amidst the lights wrapped in the cold,
Only the memories of your hand traced mine.
The mist hung in the air,
Only the faintest echoes heard my gasping cry.

The darkness surrounded me.
Echoes comforted me only, as I
Stood there alone gazing at something I
Thought I knew a long time ago.
But only the cold crevices of the moon gazed back.

Something familiar beckoned to me in the vast emptiness
Of the moon.
But it was gone. Dead.

Hunger of the Soul

Emptiness sank into the bowels of my soul,
Seeped into the deep, dark, empty reaches of my world,
Poured over my eyes and suffocated my voice.

Memories give a hungry soul no satiety,
All good must come to an end,
And yet I grasped the crumbs of shattered dreams.

Because they brought reassurance,
A connection to a past that certainly existed,
But with equal certainty no longer lived.

So I persisted,
My heart beating with an empty pulse,
Beating blood that had long since lost its warmth.

Wolfboy? Howling?
Ahahahahahahah-

I very much like the first one, but you seem to be hung up on memories.
Could these topics be related to something you’re going through? Do you need to talk? :3
