I am presently befuddled by a plethora of demands upon my person. These conundrums just won’t go away.
Namely, law school applications. I am graduating university soon and I have no effing idea what to do. Deep crises of life abound. I took the LSAT about a week ago and now I gotta get these applications in. That means LORs, personal statements, etc.
Beyond these notable developments I am also plagued with a number of ho-hum demands such as school work and extracurricular activities that will go to shit without my attention. I am also commuting this year and navigating Los Angeles highways all day is no fun. I have little time to spare but more demands on me than ever before.
Still writing, but progress is slow and setbacks are many. I have gotten into a bit of a habit/cycle of vacating my writing work for long periods of time and then crushing the proverbial paper and starting over.
Games are always a good way to escape the stressors of daily living. Lately I have been playing Skyrim (refreshed with approximately ten thousand mods tacked on) and Sleeping Dogs, which serves to remind me of Hong Kong. Large, open world games are the most suitable for escapism.
One more thing I’d like to add before I go is that beyond law school I have also been looking into a variety of other opportunities. I think I may pursue some teaching opportunities abroad and I’ve been looking into programs such as the JET Program. I also heard tell of a fabulous job opportunity in Hong Kong paying approximately USD$30,000 a year with room and board(!). With the basement-low tax rates in HK, I would get to keep much of that salary as well, but unfortunately this is probably the stuff of fables.

Ooh, hope you passed those. Depending on what specific field you’re going into you’re only gonna have to beat most of the other people that are taking it. C: I also hear that LA traffic is terrible… or at least the roads are. Not so sure about the highways.
Sleeping dogs was a great game. Hopefully you like games slow and don’t go through the story so fast. Some side quests were quite bland but the characters were definitely more enjoyable than in GTA IV, but maybe because I’m biased. 8D
I’m at my third year of university and I still have no idea/plan on my future. Do you have any suggestions on what I should be doing? 🙁

Freeways are just terrible in the mornings. Pretty much every major highway is clogged.
Yeah, I really like how much attention to detail the developers took to recreate Hong Kong (despite the fact that it’s not geographically accurate). I just finished Winston’s wedding and it’s really beginning to take off.
