First my 6 year old faithful laptop died.
Then, my family laptop got snatched by a sibling who just finished her exam.
I almost lost my password to this account.
And now, I’m back. After a long while.
Yeah, it’s been a while since I came back. I do not come back empty handed though, I got lots of stuff to share for everyone. But first, a little update of what’s going on around me.
Slice of my Life
Still “working” in the same workplace after so long. Although admittedly, I am not earning anything, I feel that the experience I gained from the workplace is great. Now getting to coach a junior in the same department as me.
You might be wondering, reader, why am I not getting a regular pay job. Hmm… Thing is, my university life is about to start in 3 months. Not that I doubt any company will employ me for only 5 months (from September). My main purpose is to refresh my mind in my intended career so I have an easier life getting used to things in February.
Of course there’s always a backup plan. Either I go teaching or start writing stories for the sake of it.
AIKA Online
OK, why am I even talking about this? Is there even any players around here?
Everyone in AIKA knows that the NA players are heading to SEA servers, now that AIKA Global is closing down (or have already closed down). Thankfully, this means that I can play AIKA while studying abroad (No, Delphine, you should be studying not playing.)
But I come to realize something while playing the game: the political battle between nations, and the factions within the nations. Whenever guilds change factions, the political shift happens, sometimes dramatically when it affects one side. Take my nation for example. There are 2 factions (let’s name it A and B). The leading faction at the moment is A, and I’m in B. Just recently a large group of my guild split from us to join A as a new group, leaving only a handful of us. Worse even, the ex-guild leader stripped us of everything (legion funds and items) before he left.
It kind of leaves me and my guildmates with a bad taste. But wait, didn’t it happened before? In the real world? I see too much similarities between the game and the real world now. Especially the political sense of both worlds.
Fan Fiction on the move!
As of today, I’m going to start writing the MapleStory fanfic I’ve been planning for a while. Based of MapleSEA’s (as always, since I’m in that region) latest patch Chaos, it is called the Eternal Circle Chronicles.
Details will be revealed later today in another blog, for I don’t want to spoil too early before I reveal my story. But it will probably (and hopefully) be in a series of stories that will span several months at a time.
Reader: Oh, come on. Just show us the good stuff already!
Be patient! It’s not like I’m building castles in the air that you can’t even see. It will come.

Hardware failure?

Aika LOL.

I was gonna play that game. Then I was like, no fuck that, everyone’s just gonna quit in like 2 weeks anyway…
Alllllways happens with us.
WE NEED A NEW FLAVOR OF THE MONTH MMO.
Aika was fun with the group.
Requesting new FotMMMO stat!
I play Puzzle Pirates, and boy, here are a helluva lot of political strife (and forum tarting). And like whatever game you’re playing, the population is relatively sparse (though large enough to support several large entities, so it’s usually always humming).
Yay, fanfic! We need a good storyline to replace the one AznRiceFan just ended. (Yes, still sad-faced about that.
)
Now I play LoL. And SC2.
