Indeed, it does.
Just recently I read a thread that the new machine gun cash shop item in Maplestory is a rip off of Gears of War. To that I blatantly say, "DURRRR. Really?"
Wasn't it obvious with the whole "Naruto/Bleach/etc. Manga references? The "Mesorangers?" Pink Bean?
Maplestory is essentially a huge parody. A HUGE parody, and I'm not using it in a sexual content. The whole concept of thieves is based off of Naruto. I can spot many elements from Bleach (Soul Arrow + Hurricane = ?). A world made out of toy bricks? Legos reference. Old Fox? That funny serrated blade that that redhead from Bleach uses? Pirate's transformation skills = DBZ/Sonic?
Even though most of those were Asian references, there's really no reason for Maplestory to satirize something else. In fact, I'm starting to believe Pianus is from the story of flushing a goldfish down a toilet and landing in radioactive waste…
Sometimes it's so infuriating when you watch other people's level of intelligence, especially when it's LOW. It hurts your own brain. I do except things that are mind lapses, but sometimes…
Anyway, in the land of Runescapeland, I've officially become one of the dirtiest of all dirty scum. And yet I can hold a shred of chivalry/honor (what passes for it in Runescape, anyway). I PvP with one item (rune scimitar still owns rune 2-handed sword, I say!), I join a clan full of noobs (and there's truly no better way to describe them), who BS (betrayers, backstabbers, call 'em what you want), and we slaughter our targets with reckless inequality in a section of multicombat. While my personality is more befitting of a community such as here Vutales (great site, by the way ), my stats are not, and so if I want to actually get some decent kills (that aren't adamant chainbodies or cakes), I have to rely on these traitors of the trade. In fact, it's proven to be fairly beneficial for me; on one occasion, a ranger got paired up with me, but fortunately, I got my freshly ironed out range protection prayer up, while my "comrades" helped me take him down. We were successful in cutting him down, but the kill was not mine, so the game was still on. Then, in typical str stm (the clan) fashion, someone cut me down when I only had 10 hp. I died, I respawned with my scimitar, and I ran back out to the wilderness, to find my opponent waiting for me, rune 2-hander in, uh, hand. I have the odd fortune in that the probability that a 2-hand wielder defeating me is far less than vice versa. And it happened so was the case, and I hacked at him. As a reward, I pick up a rune hammer, sword, and some "artefacts" (archaic language irks me sometimes) worth 15k, putting my total kill at 50k. How odd that a betrayal can work in your favor.
Oh yea, I recently listen to Bach's Toccata and Fugue, as well as his Cello Suite No.1. From what I've heard, I think that the guy was off his case; the music was so fundamentally simple, yet composed so complexly, so intricately, that it boggles my mind of how to go about to play it. Still, great guy, I would say.
Peace. Bacon. And potato cannons for everyone.
Happy Holidays!

Whoever came up with the name Pianus should shoot themselves
My brother plays his first cello suite on viola. Lol. Doesn’t give the low ring, but at least it still shows how good he is.
Lol you play Maple
that was a reference to something?
@Gujju: Probably.
@Arladerus: I s’pose I respect anyone who could play just one of the six movements.
@Spade: At the moment, I’m tryin’ out the Aran stuff. I don’t play Maplestory as much as I just keep up with some of the news.
@dee32693: Pink Bean =?= a small yellow, electric mouse. Do the 2+2.
