Consoling Vindictus

By In Uncategorized

Haha, title's a pun this time.

So, since we're on the topic of Vindictus, here's something interesting I found out today. Vindictus is based off of a HL2 mod, which means that it has a console. Of course, it's hidden somewhere, but it's not removed completely.

And so we have some interesting stuff happening:

The stuff in the corners in the second picture are feet.

Remind you of the good old console gags people do on TF2 don't it?

The field is special because it's not released yet. So far, I managed to trigger a few NPCs, and PvP, (not implemented, the bastards) but nothing important. Also managed to trigger an automatic repair without paying money/be near a campfire.

The guy that discovered this isn't really well-known… but he did tell me how to execute commands via shortcuts. >.> Didn't find anything too significant there either. Pirkid probably knows how, just +bind [key] [command].

Now, the second part is this:

You probably don't notice it at first, but everything's dying with a single attack. All the players had 10k hp too, but that's client sided.

If you watch until the end, the boss hp bars just go down the drain. Haha.

Well, that's a hack/bot created by a Chinese company. I talked to the guy who had it, and he offered a few hints that led me to find it. Unfortunately, it uses a username/password authentication system, but all the hacks are there, so I sent it a few people that might be able to crack it.

Too bad it's in Chinese, it'd be a lot easier to crack if you can just send it through ollydbg and nop all the auth stuff. =3= But I doubt these people are stupid. Haha.

Third part is about some glitches. The Kobold glitch I first saw on Youtube, but it was supposedly "patched":
… yeah no, they didn't patch it at all. Rather, if you just experimented with it a bit..

That was AGES ago. And it still works. ._. If you look at the time, it's 58:xx, that means the run took 2 minutes. Usually, it's about 15 minutes. >_>; Especially solo.

Today I was on the fishing boat, and thanks to some dude, I accidentally found a glitch that made you able to swim. You drown if you stay in the water for too long.
Using speed hacks, I was able to go to the map boundary, but because I was too lazy to swim, I just let myself die:

I donno, I could summon golems and stuff too, but those are all video clips, so I'll share them in another blog.
