Cannoneer Shanenigans
With the ‘Legends’ Update, Global MapleStory is now version 1.04! … Yay…
‘kay so if you’re wondering why the f*** you’re looking at a MapleStory blog right now, it’s because you’re not, it’s actually a hallucination.
… I wish it was a hallucination.
So — since everyone made it out to be so dramatic, that the Cannoneer class was balanced, fun to play, and in general a cool pirate subclass, I decided to go for it. So I made one. At full potential, they resemble this guy:
But of course, without NX, you end up looking like this guy:
The definition of sexy.
The concept of the Cannoneer is simple – your partner is a monkey that cheers behind you and your skills are very cannon/monkey oriented. Your primary 2h weapon is a cannon which has unlimited ammo. You also have buffs, like Monkey madness or Luck of the Die.
Sometimes though, Cannoneers are too simple – there’s only 1 or 2 skills you honestly really need to train, you can go to 30-70 comfortably using 1 skill, or 2 if you’re feeling dangerous.
^prime example of a cannoneer training.
Me being me, I got to level 30 legitimately, and then I got to 33, and I was like, no, this is too slow, even though I got to 30 in like 2 hours.
So at first I was like
And then I was like
And finally I was like
Y’know, in that last picture, the teddy bear does that face while grinding up and down the mobs. PEDOBEAR REFERENCE? I THINK SO.
And now I’m here: here
Yeah, Bellocan, the half dead server.
I think it’s been the 3rd day I’ve played right? Yeah I think I’ll take a break until Finals are over. :3
Oh and in case you were wondering about the hack, although I really doubt it, it’s just Familiar dEM. Basically you can get these familiar cards from drops and you can summon them. When they touch a monster, they attack them with melee damage.
The orbs floating above them are vitality orbs, and do run out after some time, so what you need to do is switch familiars once in a while and you can keep killing. It’s great.
And that’s it for me for now. 🙂

What greenelf said; and I thought it was ’cause I was using Safari.
My cannoneer’s around level 38. Kerning Square seems like a really sweet place to train, until you get to the top floor; the dog beat me over the fence.
Cannoneers are like, everywhere. All of the boss maps, I think much of Monster Park, they’re EVERYWHERE.
But hell, I love barrel bomb. As long as you’re on a flat surface, it’ll shove everything to a corner, and BOOM, they’re dead.

I can’t wait until finals week is over

I can’t read an MS blog and understand what’s going on anymore.
The eff, they were working fine when I posted it. >___>

same.
So they made ANOTHER pirate-like class?
same.
So they made ANOTHER pirate-like class?
Yep. With big guns.
If they’re churning jobs out as planned, there’ll be at least one more (a Legendary character) down the road.

Don’t be too surprised. We’re talking about the company that made a “fast” warrior, a mage with ten advancements, a bowman with bow-gun hybrid technology, and as of late, a thief that has the ability to steal certain skills from other adventurer classes.
Yeah man, Mercedes, Phantom.
Mercedes <- Archer Legend
Aran <- Warrior Legend
Phantom <- Thief Legend
L[otus?]<- Pirate Legend
Evan <- Mage Legend MAPLE. 😀
So you have a Teddy Bear familiar? That’s awesome. Not gonna get me to play that game, however. Nope nope.
I mean idc about the skills and shit, just like they keep reusing the same fucking equipment lol.
If they make a class with it’s own equipment set(s) then I’d be interested, y’know just to keep it fresh.
check out the new theif class KMS is getting. -_- they throw cards *_*
Yeah. Like. Steal skills and throws cards. o__O

Depends on what you mean by own equipment sets.
The cannoneer, mechanic, Mercedes and Phantom will all have weapons unique to their jobs (demon slayers will have a unique shield). Beyond that, everything else is generically job-related; an overall for pirates will work for cannoneer, buccaneer or corsair. Also, at about level 110 onward, equipment sets become generically bland; besides some fancy name change, every weapon or item set is roughly identical (i.e. the sets have the same set bonuses, regardless of class).
So any class can level fast as long as you have a familiar o.o?
As an active unit, familiars won’t grant much help while you’re fighting (some, but expect to still rely on skills). However, some do have passive effects (people drool over those that recover %HP/MP per 10 seconds, and drop rate increase ones aren’t that bad neither). At any rate, familiars do help in leveling, though I’d argue the direct effect is marginal.

Familiar VAC lol.
My familiars die way too fast using that. xD…
Forgot the password to your first account?
Client side it, bot, win. C:
I have the wz edit and it works, but lasts about 3 seconds and then the summons die. Idk how to client side it xD
yea the summons die too soon and its RARE to find more summons… >_> but it shouldnt matter since cannoneers make mechs look weak -_-
Get a packet editor that works, log the recv packet when you just summon the familiar, and then send that recv packet.
Bam, infinite vitality mob VAC. Of course, damage is client sided too, it’s just like a fvac,
I have no idea how to do that xD. Just record what appears when I summon the monster?
Edit:
Can’t do it xD..I tried..
Edit again:
I can’t figure out which packets they are. When I record them, I summon, and then it’s a large packet about 49. Then there’s like 2 others like 30, and 23…then it returns to going at the same rate. I tried the 49, 30, and 23, but they all just crash maple on me so I have no clue xD
