Hello from the outside

Hah. Outside, as if.

So does anyone still read these things? I think the last time I checked this site was over 2 weeks ago.

I’m kind of deferring the assignment I’m supposed to be doing to next hour, which I will most definitely regret because I have no idea how to do it. But at least now I get to write something here, right?

Currently waiting for news from graduate school, probably won’t get in, applying to jobs, not sure if will be able to get any. It’s my last term at university, and so I’ve been trying to suppress all that cumulative anxiety by playing games that give me more anxiety, aka oldschool runescape. It’s basically the same browser game from practically a decade ago, but with some minor adjustments, and if you remembered it with much nostalgia, that’s pretty much the reason a bunch of people are playing, it’s just one giant nostalgia trip. And if you’re wondering why nostalgia gives me anxiety it’s because I’m not playing the standard mode, but rather a mode where you can die anywhere, at any time and lose experience a la MapleStory in additional to all your expensive items that you were wearing and from your bank.

Yeah I’m not sure why I’m playing it either. But I’m almost on the front page of the high-scores, so I got that going for me.

Apart from that, I also played a bit of blade and soul, which came out about 2 weeks ago. Well, a bit might be an understatement since I finished all the content available within the first 4 days. It was pretty pathetic, I’m pretty sure I smelled like Doritos the entire time. (Just kidding, it wasn’t that bad. Or maybe it was. Whatever.) But I’m pretty burnt out on it already, as the end game doesn’t even come for another 2 weeks. They had over 6 years to port this game over and it doesn’t even have the end-game content………………

In other related real life happenings, I went on my first ever “real” vacation to Florida and visited Disney and Universal. Disney is really designed for young kids, they probably would have a blast, and Universal is more for the teen-young adult demographic with all the Harry Potter shenanigans and whatnot.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, what’s happening with y’all?

Damn, I’ve been playing OSRS as well. I stopped playing a few weeks ago because of uni, but it was fun.
