Wake up Marc… You have to… Get…
Away…
"Anna!"
I woke with a start. I felt cold sweat on my forehead. What happened?
I sat on the cold floor of a deserted room. It was dark and eerie, giving off a rather chilling feeling. I felt like I was being watched. Shaking it off, I got up onto my feet.
There was a desk in a corner of the room. I walked over to it and pulled open a drawer. A piece of paper was in the drawer. There was a sentence written on it:
Be safe Marc.
I blinked and the piece of paper was gone. What just happened? The handwriting on the paper had seemed very familiar. My eyes moved back to the drawer and something had surprised me. Inside the drawer was now a flashlight and a penknife. I was hesitant to take the objects, but I took them anyways.
Something just feels weird about this house. I checked the flashlight's batteries; they were fresh, as if recently changed. The penknife was medium-sized and only had one blade attached to it, although this blade looked like it was designed to kill rather than to do what penknives did.
There wasn't anything left to do in this room. I head to the door and opened it.
"Argh!"
A ghostly form of a young girl instantly appeared before me! It ran towards me, screaming "I found you!!!" in a hideous demonic voice. What the hell am I suppose to do?! Stab it to death with this penknife?
Before I could react, the ghost ran through me. Suddenly it became harder to breath, as if the creature was strangling me. I can't even move anymore. What the hell is going on? Isn't it too early for an impossible boss fight like they have in games? Heh, even when I was dieing I can make jokes.
I felt myself slipping off into unconsciousness before I felt my breathing suddenly becoming stable. I feel to my knees and gasped for several still moments. I heard the devil's voice again.
"Don't die too early Marc. I want to see you squirm…"
The unnatural chills around me had disappeared. I was alone, and for a moment, I felt regret. Why is that?
I heard the sound of scratches around the corner of the hallway I was in. Struggling to my feet, I had to lean on the wall for support. After that sudden encounter, I can't take anymore chances. I pulled the penknife out of my pocket and switched out the blade. I knew one thing is going to happen.
Bloody Hell will be unleashed in this house…
A car pulled up next to the one that had crashed into a tree. A man ran out and peered into the driver's window. He quickly pulled out his cell phone and dialed 911.
Author's Notes: I felt like this selection is a bit rushed, seeing as I only had a 30 minute time limit before turning in. I wanted to continue with the story and just pulled this out of nowhere, so you might feel like I just wrote this as I went on. Anyways, I'll try to plan the next selection ahead of time and plan out the events rather than just do what I did here.
