Today we commemorate this day before Thanksgiving with the arrival of royalty. I introduce to you, the Ancient Queen of Nasods, the white-haired and orange-eyed Robot Girl, the Token Loli, Eve Ancient Nasod of the Past!
Background
The Nasods were a powerful empire. They ruled wide and far and lived in peace with the Humans. The people who ruled them were the Nasod King and the Nasod Queen, Eve. Alas, peace was not to last. The El that sustained the kingdom had began to weaken. The kingdom began to fall, and some Nasods even started going insane. Even though they had requested help from the Humans, who refused, they were left to their terrible fate. Eve had refused to believe that the Nasods will become extinct. She sealed herself in a capsule to ensure that she would not die or become corrupt. Surely, she can save her kingdom if she was a correct state of mind…
Thousands of years later, Eve was awakened from her slumber when an El Shard entered her hibernation unit. Unfortunately, no one else had survived the destruction. The Nasod King and Core were powerless. All that remained were scraps and nonfunctional machinery. Eve experienced an odd sensation.
“This must be the equivalent of the human emotion… ‘loneliness’…“
However, hope was not lost. She discovered that the Core can be repaired and function once more. If the Core was reactivated, the Nasods can rise again. Her people can be restored! Fueled by this thought, Eve worked tirelessly to repair the Core. The last component was power. She offered her own body and once again, she began to sleep…
Many years later, she was reawakened from her slumber. Not by an El Shard, but from a human. She found herself in a large room. To her surprise, she saw the Nasod King, defeated, and several other Nasods destroyed. The Core too, had been damaged beyond repair. Surrounding her was a red-haired boy with a large sword, a yellow-green-haired Elf, a purple-haired girl, and a black-haired man with an odd arm. Eve recognized the arm to be a Nasod Claw. She demanded to know what had happened.
“We destroyed the Nasods!” said the red-haired boy.
Eve felt a sensation she never experienced before. She later stated that it must have been anger. Without any hesitation, she slapped the red-haired boy, leaving a red mark on his face. She later stated that she regrets doing such an act.
Eve was brought up to speed on what had happened. The Nasod King had been stealing El from all over Elrios and the Nasods had become a danger to the people or Elrios. Turns out that even though the Nasods had been reborn with her help, the Nasod King had remained corrupt. Eve didn’t blame them for what they did. But with the Core destroyed, it would seem that the Nasods are now either an endangered species, or a dead one. She laments of her new found ‘loneliness.’
“Don’t say that! I’ll be your friend!”
Shocked, Eve stared at the red-haired boy, whose name was Elsword. Then, Aisha, the purple-haired girl, suddenly smacked him on the head with her wand.
“Are you stupid? Dummy!”
Eve didn’t want his friendship, nor did she ever ask for it. But… she’s still a living thing of this world. Like everyone, people need companionship. And thus marks the day Eve joined the El Crew…
Fighting Style
Eve is the youngest looking person of the El Crew, and as such doesn’t appear that tough. Don’t underestimate her power though, Eve has access to several weapons through her Nasod Gears and the ability to summon other Nasods to fight alongside her. Strangely enough, even though she’s a magical fighter (in terms of stats and skills), her regular attacks are more physical oriented due to the massive amount of MP used for the Electron Balls.
Her basic weapons are two Nasod Gears, named Moby and Reby, but summons a couple of others when using her Special Actives. As Code Architecture she’s able to summon Oberon, a Nasod bodyguard who fights with two metal Tonfas, to fight with her, and later as Code Empress she’s able to summon Ophelia, another female Nasod who fights with electricity.
Compared to the other characters, Eve’s movement is radically different. When dashing, if she jumps she glides in the air. After running off a ledge, she glides forward. During both cases, she can do an air dash. If she just jumps and then does an air dash, she can rise a little bit into the air. Eve is able to do a double jump but can’t air-dash and floats slowly before dropping like normal. Thus, she moves slower than most characters (who can dash-jump repeatedly to gain distance quickly) and is unable to do a high jump (sprint, jump and turn)
Combos
Z- Nasod Gears swing forward.
X- Electron Ball.
ZZZZ- Nasod Gears swing forward three times, before enlarging and knocking the enemy down.
ZZZX- Nasod Gears swing forward three times before Eve slaps the enemy. No knockdown and the knockdown counter rises rather slowly, if at all.
ZZZ↓Z- Nasod Gears swing forward three times before jetting a spear from the ground, launching enemies into the air.
XXX- Eve shoots two electron balls before shooting a electron triangle that pierces and knocks down.
XX→X- Eve shoots two electron balls before her two Nasod Gears enlarge and ramming forwards and backwards.
XX↓X- Eve shoots two electron balls before her two Nasod Gears enlarge and ram above and below.
→→Z- Eve dashes before stabbing with a Nasod Spear.
→→X-Eve dashes before launching enemies into the air and hitting them with a diagonal electron ball.
→→↑ZZZ- Eve dashes, jumps, glides, before striking three times with her Nasod Gears.
→→↑X- Eve dashes, jumps, glides, before shooting a short range electron ball.
↑Z- Eve jumps before striking with her Nasod Gears.
↑X- Eve jumps before swinging her Nasod Gears around her, hitting twice.
Skills
Eve’s skills include Basic Strength Training, Basic Magic Training, Basic Magic Defense Training, and Basic Physical Defense Training, like the other characters. Eve’s Magic Accelerator, Power Accelerator, and Shield Accelerator are like Aisha’s, which means it buffs the party if they are close enough.
Illusion Strike- Special Active, 100 MP, Default: Eve summons 6 more Nasod Gears to go along with her current two to strike the enemy simultaneously. Not necessarily powerful, but it is required to use Illusion Stinger. Maxes at 5.
Cloaking- Active, 35 MP, Default: Eve cloaks herself from sight for three seconds. Not particularly useful for PvE but is pretty good for PvP to get the jump on your enemy. This skill’s Skill Note will enable 10 MP/s regeneration but will increase the cool down from 0 to 10 seconds. Already Maxed.
Dimension Link: Scout- Special Active, 100 MP, 5 SP: Eve activates a dimensional link and summons a Nasod Scout robot to leap out at the enemy, knocking them down. Afterwards, the Scout will follow Eve around and attack by jumping, shooting electron balls, and a piercing volt. It disappears upon death, after after a certain amount of time has past before self-destructing, when the skill is used again, or when heading into a different Act. The Skill Note will disable the knock down upon the initial summon and slowdown the knock down build up. Required for Dimension Link: Blader. Maxes at 5.
Illusion Stinger- Special Active, 200 MP, 10 SP: Eve summons multiple gears, before turning them into a spear and sending it forward, piercing and leaving a trail of electron pulses. Relatively powerful, it’s a good skill to have early game. With the Skill Note, MP consumption is reduced to 80 but the range of electron pulses is decreases. Maxes at 5.
Dimension Link: Blader- Special Active, 200 MP, 15 SP: Eve activates a dimensional link and summons a Nasod Blader. It slices a few times before doing a rolling slash and slamming the ground, launching enemies into the air. It then fires a beam diagonally before disappearing. Rather powerful, it’s good early game. Maxes at 5.
Cloaking Study- Passive, 25 SP: Increases the duration of Cloaking by .5 a rank. Near useless in PvE but for PvP it helps. Due to Cloaking’s Skill Note, an extra 10.5 MP is gained when maxed out. Maxes at 3.
Generate Black Hole- Special Active, 300MP, 30 SP: Eve generates a Black Hole that draws enemies into it before exploding. When Awakened, the Black Hole will continuously deal damage before the explosion. The Skill Note gives the Black Hole a larger suction range and deals 10% more damage. Similar to the Sniping Ranger’s Wind Ward, this skill is good for keeping enemies in one place. Unlike Wind Ward, it has a shorter duration and, if used for it’s suction, should be used in a non-Awakened state. Maxes at 5.
Dimension Link: Guardian- Special Active, 300 MP, 30 SP: Eve activates a dimensional link and summons a Nasod Guardian. It will aim it’s arm cannon to the ground and fire two shock waves on both sides. Strictly a PvE skill, as PvP will only deal premature damage. It’s total damage is based on the size of the enemy, a larger and more horizontal enemy will receive more damage. Maxes at 5.
Energy Conversion- Active, 35 SP: Eve converts her HP into MP. At rank 1, Eve converts 10% for 30 MP and each rank thereafter increases converts an extra 1% for 10 more MP. The Skill Note will give a chance for HP to not be consumed but now has a 5 second cool down. Maxes at 3.
Job Change
All Ancient Nasods have more advanced Codes than the more present day Nasods (aka the ones Wally has built). Eve’s Coding is classified as ‘Architecture’ but there is also an incomplete Coding, ‘Exotic’.
Architecture
“Systems check… All green.”
Following her Code, Eve continues to fight by summoning Nasods. To ensure that her fighting capability is up to date, she had another Nasod built to assist her fighting named Oberon. Oberon fights with two Tonfas and is a physical fighter, to complement Eve’s more magical attacks.
Additional Combos
XXZ- Eve fires two electron balls before Oberon appears and deal rapid slashes 8 times, with the last hit knocking enemies down.
→→↑XZ- Eve dashes, jumps, glides, and shoots a short-ranged electron ball. Oberon then appears to launch enemies into the ground for high damage. No knockdown.
ZZZ↓ZZ- Eve strikes three times with her Nasod Gears before summoning a spike to launch enemies into the air. Oberon will then appear to knock enemies back to the ground for no knockdown.
New Skills
Eve gains the Passive skill Intermediate Strength Training, the Buff R3 Magic Adrenaline, and the Buff R4 Power Adrenaline.
Surface Cutting- Special Active, 100 MP, 40 SP: Oberon appears and deals three slashes, knocking the enemy down. This skill is useful for defense, but not particularly useful for damage. The Skill Note increases damage by 20% and reduces knock down rate. Maxes at 5.
Queen’s Pride- Passive, 45 SP: All summons (Dimension Links, Oberon and later Ophelia) will have increased damage. This affects all of Code Architecture’s new skills (minus Mega Electron Ball and maybe Heaven’s Fist). Required for Power Adrenaline. Maxes at 5.
Sonic Wave- Special Active, 200 MP, 50 SP: Oberon appears to launch enemies into the air. He then follows up by slashing enemies in a crescent 360 style, knocking enemies down. At max rank, the skill’s in game description is deceiving. The total damage is actually calculated to 2323%. The Skill Note changes the skill. Oberon immediately appears without delay, no longer launches enemies into the air, deals 4 more hits and the AoE is much larger. Required for Genocide Ripper. Maxes at 5.
Mega Electron Ball- Active, 15 MP (30 MP when charged), 55 SP: Eve fires an electron ball. While no different than just pressing X, the Mega Electron Ball can be charged to be much stronger and for a larger ball. Aside from the charging capability, it remains the same as a Eve’s X attack. The Skill Note will decrease cool down by 1 second and reduces charge time by 33%. Maxes at 3.
Electron Ball Study- Passive, 55 SP: Increases the range of electron balls. This skill affects regular X electron balls and the Mega Electron Ball. This skill is required for Electron Ball Mastery and Magic Adrenaline. Maxes at 5.
Queen’s Potential- Passive, 60 SP: Increases Eve’s Max MP while reducing the MP consumed for electron balls. Highly useful, if not a must have. At max Eve gets 100 MP and reduces electron ball costs by 20%. This skill also affects the Mega Electron Ball. Maxes at 5.
Genocide Ripper- Special Active, 300 MP, 65 SP: Oberon appears, dashes forward while landing a massive amount of hits. When Awakened, Genocide Ripper isn’t as powerful but more hits are dealt. The total amount of hits remains undetermined, but the most recorded is 31 hits. Maxes at 5.
Locked Skills
Oberon Guard- Active, 30 MP, 40 SP: Eve summons Oberon to generate a barrier. Rather powerful, given it’s effects. It lasts for 6 seconds but enemies will receive damage whenever they touch the barrier, and usually shuts them out. Particularly useful in PvP to ensure a max combo. The Skill Note halves the duration to 3 seconds but increases damage by 50%. Maxes at 5.
Space Wrench- Special Active, 200 MP, 60 SP: Eve summons Oberon who does a horizontal cross slash that carries enemies as it travels. When Awakened more hits are registered for the same amount of damage. Can be used in mid-air. Maxes at 5.
Heaven’s Fist- Special Active, 300 MP, 70 SP: Eve summons a giant Nasod Fist to crush the enemy. Enemies who are hit are dazed and enemies not hit but near the fist will take damage from a shock wave effect and are launched into the air. Damage is increased when Awakened. Maxes at 5.
Code Exotic
“You will get hurt. Please leave the area while you still can.”
Eve activates her incomplete Code in a moment of desperation and receives a whole new power as Code Exotic. She no longer allows summoned Nasods to fight for her but unleashes a multitude of powerful weapons composed of Nasod Gears.
Additional Combos
ZZZ↓ZZ- Eve strikes three times with her Nasod Gears before unleashing a spear that launches enemies. She then surrounds herself with even more spears.
→→ZZZ- Eve dashes and unleashes three spears.
→→XZ- Even dashes and launches the enemy up before striking them with a diagonal electron ball. She then follows up by impaling them with spears.
Skills
Code Exotic has access Intermediate Magic Training, R3 Power Adrenaline, and R4 Magic Adrenaline.
Hornet Sting- Special Active, 110 MP, 40 SP: Shoots a missile forward for two hits. One for the impact, and one for the explosion. Maxes at 5.
Encouraging Aura- Passive, 45 SP: Increases duration of the Aura Accelerators and decreases MP Consumption. Useful for assisting with parties. Maxes at 5.
Explosion Impact- Special Active, 200 MP, 50 SP: Eve launches enemies into the air with a rather long whip, slams them into the ground while airborne, and then the whip explodes dealing multiple hits and massive damage. Best used on large, stoic mobs but can still be easily used on smaller, non-stoic mobs due to the hits slowly pulling enemies in. The whip hits are Physical but the explosions are Magical. Considered to be one of the best 200 MP skills in the game damage-wise. Skill Note removes launch effect and increases damage by 10%.
Compared to Code Architecture, this skill isn’t as useful due to Exotic not having any passives that affect electron balls. The Skill Note will decrease cool down by 1 second and reduces charge time by 33%. Maxes at 3.
Powerful Mind- Passive, 55 SP: Physical Attack Power increases with Magical Attack Power. Maxes at 5.
Elegant Steps- Passive, 60 SP: Increases movement and jump speed, separated from item effects. Somewhat useful, though you might not notice it. Maxes at 5.
Queen’s Throne- Special Active, 300 MP, 65 SP: An explosion occurs which then summons standby stingers for 30 seconds. The explosion is rather weak compared to the other 300 MP skills. But Full Generate Mode is what this skill is really useful for. The stingers will attack alongside Eve’s regular attacks, dealing more hits and more damage, although 2 MP is consumed per Nasod Gear attack. In Full Generate Mode Eve has the ability to air dash multiple times, as compared to twice. HELLO WORLD, START FULL GENERATE MODE is stated when this skill is used. Maxes at 5.
Locked Skills
They all sound like garbage (pun) but are useful due to their effects.
Metal Dust Aura- Active, 30 MP, 40 SP: Eve surrounds herself with metal fragments that swirl around her for 20 seconds. It does 1.5 hits/second for a total of 30 hits. The Skill Note increases damage by 2.3x but halves the duration of the skill. Maxes at 5.
Iron Scraps- Special Active, 200 MP, 60 SP: Eve fires a series of stingers in all directions for high damage. Actually damage is mediocre, but is often used due to it’s versatility in range, activation time (quick), and ability to use in mid-air. Maxes at 5.
Junk Break- Special Active, 300 MP, 70 SP: Eve summons a giant split-drill to burrow into enemies. At first-glance, this skill does low damage compared to other 300 MP skills. What makes this skill truly amazing is that it’s anti-situational. What this means is that regardless of size, weight, or stoic. This is more important than it sounds. Maxes at 5.
The 2nd Code
Eve realizes her combat capabilities with Oberon and decides to create another Nasod to complement him. The result was Ophelia, a magic oriented fighter. Following this, Eve upgraded her Code from Architecture to Empress.
Eve’s Code Exotic had slowly adapted to each battle she has come across. Seeking more power, her Code upgraded to Exotic. Possessing more attacks and powers, Eve seeks to destroy all that poses as a threat to the world.
