VuTales, the name, is a direct copy of MMOTales. Not good.
MMOTales is shut down. While not in activity, any lawsuit reference to it may not be used unless it is currently being used in the same state that VuTales is. i.e. there’s a community actively posting and blogging. If not, he has no reason to use the “stealing community” card.
However, he is the designer. It is his code. He can be as rough as he wants because we are the little guy. Cyber-lawyers do exist, vary they are limited. And if he is going as far as you PAY a lawyer to sue a site for pure CODE, with no PERSONAL BENIFIT to him..he will be doing a very stupid business move.
If anything..resume work on the new code. We have people here willing to help if need be.

Our refers to his “company”. While he is a solitary designer, I’m sure he would have hired help with the basic layouts. My friend makes $200 a pop in that business.
It’s our community against his. He cannot say that MMOT was shut down for inactivity because we still existed there, and he was still making a profit, may it be small. Point against him. He does not use the code for any other reason.
Most copyright laws indicate the offended is using the code in parallel to the owner. This, in our case, is not true. Cyber plagerism laws are much softer then actual hard-copy laws as well.
