We only have two people so far, and I’m about to write a much definite synopsis for the plot. We had a lot of people in our past RPs as well.
Doesn’t change the fact that people will still run around like chickens with their heads cut off. See: Proboards RP, Paper Hell RP (or whatever that first one Bogdan deleted was called).
You can’t really say that until we start it. =/ You don’t know for sure that this RP will go haywire.
Not trying to attack you, but you’re coming off as really bitter for some reason.
I’ve spent years RPing, managed an RP forum, and seen way too many RPs get out of control because of stuff like this. If your participants aren’t very experienced, you really don’t want more than five or six people. After that you get so many break offs and people wanting to do their own thing the RP breaks down into chaos. People contradict each other, change the world you’re in, etc. It’s hard to keep 10 people coordinated unless they know what they’re doing. It has nothing to do with writing well, as the great majority of the site is very good at that. It’s entirely different. You have to keep track not only of who’s doing what, but where they’re going to be, what they’re trying to set up, etc. It doesn’t sound that hard, but it is. If you’re going to do an RP, you should probably set a limit on the participants, not because you’re trying to be an elitist snob (some of you will remember the whole MMOTales RP thing I got flamed for), but because otherwise nothing will ever happen and the RP will die a horrible death.
