Well, I dunno, but the way I’m looking at it, when I grew up in China, I learned that fun came not in the form of like partying in clubs or whatnot. :/ If I took a look at say, the BillBoard 40, OMG, California Gurls, Your Love is My Drug, etc, etc, none of it sends a very positive message, does it? They’re all about fun, but certainly, when you look at the lyrics…
It’s just my personal opinion that the songs are absolute crap – doesn’t stop me from listening to it.
Just as a side note, I see American society (and subsequently, the songs that come out of it) as one of the worst. It used to be innovative and such, and it still is, but so far, it’s been decaying since LSD was invented. It’s something that won’t change obviously, so just wait for the Asian countries to run Earth over. >>; Especially India, considering their population is growing exponentially.
