That shit is stupid.

Because if everyone wants to be taken seriously when voicing their legitimate opinion they use profanities to denounce whatever they’re against. I totally forgot.

Dustin said: Yup, because voicing a legitimate opinion is trolling. Get real, dude. I’m not going to argue with you. You get so worked up over something trivial, minuscule and unimportant. Seems as if you’re the one picking the fight.

It obviously is a trend. To associate shit with that horrible, dumb, distasteful site is a trend and it bugs me beyond belief. It’s the birthplace of trying to be an internet badboy and that’s about 90% of its userbase. Like honestly? It’s just a stupid thing to associate anything with.

Trivial, minuscule and unimportant? For your information this is going to be the name of the “spam” board for VuTales, I wouldn’t count it as any of the three since a good amount of our forum posts are probably going to be in there.
Labeling all of 4chan as a, “horrible, dumb, distasteful site”, is simply a stereotype YOU placed upon it based on what you see going on in your surroundings(news and newfags around you) when chances are you never even bothered to look there, if you simply took the time to understand what was going on you’d find out the rotten cesspool your thinking of is mostly limited to /b/ and nothing else.
And if associating things with 4chan bugs you then what about VuTales?

Vusys(sorry bout bringing you in) said: And, you do know this very site has features that were first found on 4Chan… right?

So if this whole mess bugs you so much you could post another suggestion as well, instead of just saying “shit sucks”.

@Tartar, I was typing my post when you posted that. Sowwy~

@First bit: I didn’t wish to be taken seriously for I do not care whether you think my opinion is legitimate or right or anything close. I use profanities to voice my opinion often for they are in my vocabulary. Never did I ever intentionally attack another person nor did I get angry at all.

@Second bit: Nope, the name of a subforum on an unpopular (albeit awesome) site is entirely unimportant, trivial and minuscule. You choose to get angry over the name of a forum on a site. Really? No, it’s not a stereotype. People on the internet are assholes. (as made apparent by…oh wait, no flames.) It’s a generally distasteful site. Sure, there are some exceptions. /wg/ , /v/ , and a few other subforums are entirely okay. Do I still think the site is a pretty bad site? Yes. Most people do. It’s a guilty pleasure to most.

@Third bit: Just because I like the features on the site doesn’t mean I don’t find the site distasteful or dumb. Idiots fester there and I don’t think it’d be cool to associate ourselves with idiots. Simple as that. Whether you like it or not that’s how I feel.

@Tar I’m tired of people nitpicking technicalities. OH GOD I USED THE WORD TREND! You know what I meant and you shouldn’t be hung up on the use of the language or my diction. If an idea is properly conveyed, the way it is done is irrelevant. (Not necessarily directed towards you but everyone else…and you.)

First, if you never wanted to be taken seriously then why bother posting in this thread at all? I’m sure Vusys wanted some serious suggestions, so unless you’re being serious I don’t see the reason for posting.
Second, Do you even know what stereotyping is? After denying your stereotype you immediately unleash a new one, “People on the internet are assholes.” Honestly, yes some people who use the internet are assholes, BUT can you really generalize for the ENTIRE internet userbase? No you cannot, mainly because YOU DON’T KNOW EVERYONE WHO USES THE INTERNET.
Third, I respect your viewpoint on not wanting to associate with idiots, however, how does having a sub-forum named “/vt/” immediately associate ourselves with 4chan? There are other sites who use similar structures in organizing their sub-forums. Does it necessarily have to come from 4chan? No, we could say it came from something like 2chan and be gone with the 4chan thing altogether.
Fourth, Profanities are profane, why do you think no one uses them in a formal setting. On the internet your word choice is what defines you as a user simply because we know nothing else about you besides what you tell us. Using profanities like that simply tells us that you are just trying to troll.
I’m out, new suggestion is now “Happy Hour”
