Oh no, I was referring that most of the bad endings were based on him not being happy because one of the girls would die and he would feel personally responsible for it because of what he did and what Kotonoha said sort of mirrors that. He’d never be happy because the girl he would decide to be with would either get killed or he’d get killed himself. In a way, even if Makoto doesn’t die, his punishment would be worse than death, having to carry around the guilt of knowing that his actions caused the death of someone for the rest of his life. Therefore, he’d “never be happy”.
Unless you get one of those crazy endings where the girls decide to share him and he ends up getting to do orgies with all those slutty girls. In that case, everyone’s happy. Rofl.
