I’d love to get a motorcycle. I love the speed, the power, the connection you have with the machine you’re driving. However, 
this scares me a lot.
Even if you wear all the gear, all the time, and are the perfect rider, you can still only prevent so much. A lot of drivers are retarded, and will completely miss you. At 75 on a highway, you’re going to get hurt even with gear. Then, if there’s cars behind you, pray they stop or you slide out of their way. Otherwise, you’re dead.
Despite all of that, I still really want one. xD If I can convince my mom to let me buy one (notice she wouldn’t even be paying for it), I’d go get a permit, take a MSF course, and be on it asap.

Yes, most drivers are. I didn’t actually watch the clip; I’m not a big fan of blood and gore, but I can appreciate how dangerous it is without that.
I see so many stupid drivers every day it’s ridiculous. You really have to assume that everyone doesn’t see you, even in a car. There should be much more to getting a license than there is already in the US. I’m in favor of a slalom course with a minimum required speed. It’d keep all those people who like taking 5 hours to take a normal turn or change lanes and nearly cause a wreck off the road.
