I used to be one, unfortunately. So I can tell you from personal experience that it’s just a phase, they’ll grow out of it, and trying to make them do it faster is just a huge waste of time and energy. Also, making fun of them for it just makes them feel alienated further from “normal” society, and so they disappear further into the land of Wapanese, where they find comfort.
In short, acting this way only makes the problem worse, so just give up. It’s funny when it’s used for satire and humor, but actually taking the issue seriously? C’mon…
