Synergy. A land slide and a hurricane will do far more damage than the damage of a hurricane added to the land of a land slide. You can lift more with 2 people than each person could lift individually combined.

Is it right for me to have ever heard/know only one out of the many songs in the 2009 mix?
I also know recognize a handful of the songs in the 2008 mix.

No, by using two lift points, you decrease the distance mass is from either point, thus decreasing the torque the mass generates because of gravity and the force required to lift it.
