ParticipantAbout the moon bombing.
All of them different ways it could go wrong. And I always wake up panting or tearing.
I really don’t think it’s a good idea.8 October 2009 at 02:10 #16858Vusys

You do realise how little of an impact this event will have?

ParticipantUnless they actually blow up the moon… imagine having the sun out 24/7.

ParticipantOn National Geo
they said that the Moon will come hurling towards Earth. Because it’s moving away from the Earth at 3cm like a year, and the bomb is gonna shove it back into place and then some.

If the moon is gone, the tides cycle will be thrown completely out of whack, and weather will go crazy as well. xP

ParticipantThe blast and fallout of a nuclear device, the only known manmade weapon capable of creating such damage, upon our moon would cause massive amounts of Gamma Radiation to spread farther and faster, ionize our atmosphere, filling it with electricity, and expose cancer causing radiation world wide, and cause massive blackouts spanning continents. It would also destroy the moon, and without it’s gravitational effect on the Earth, the tides would immediately rise in a massive wave, and towards the direction of the only thing that still effects tides, the Sun, destroying everything in it’s path, and without the moon, the Earth’s axis would wobbles to an axial tilt from 23 degrees to over 87 degrees, causing extreme climate change humans or any other life are not accustomed to.

Participant… Anyways, about thet moon moving away from Earth, yes. If we do not push it back, our moon will fly away. The moon a long time ago used to look like the moon we see in Animes. <3

ParticipantThe moon has survived many asteroid hits, meteors, etc. I’m sure it will be okay… 🙂
