ParticipantDid I say something irrelevant? Or maybe quite the opposite.

Participant…Is it possible that the standard deviation from thread and blog topics to random or irrelevant backs-and-forths could be a reason for a veritable lack of curious bloggers, which may make it difficult for outsiders to connect with us due to personal communications that are not understood or comprehensible by others?

ParticipantOkay…
How about, is our irrelevance and random conversations of personal matters that only we understand driving away potential blog-goers?

no I don’t think so.
Look at NarutoHater, we know barely anything about him. 1 personal blog laterhe’s still getting feedback
all we know about each other is what we post, so to find out about someone, all you gotta do is read their past blogs.Edit: Except those we met in real life and shit.

Well, I suppose I didn’t mean blogs in particular, but perhaps in posting (i.e. how off-course this thread had gone). And NarutoHater presented personal matters in a relatable fashion, not in an informal manner understood only by some.
Most of us (well, you) have met or interacted to a significant extent outside of this site. Heck, half the things you posted on the second page of this thread, I have no idea what they were, though I probably would have had I socialized more often. Granted, that may just be my antisocial demeanor despite being in this community since MMOTales…
Perhaps those factors may not be too much of an issue. If not, certainly the paucity of posts, or even likes/dislikes, to most of the blogs is a killjoy to newcomers? After all, if posts are made a few times a day, and every recent blog has only 0-2 likes, give or take a blog or two, it may seem that our site is inactive, despite having 40 active members.

I mean I guess Skype/MSN but for the most part, inside jokes rarely make it onto the site, at least with blogs.
I do agree with the last part though. We can’t bring active people here if we’re not active ourselves. It’d be real cool if we could go back in time to like when the RPs were going on, or everyone was into VuMS, or when the Skype sessions were frequent. That activity is the type of shit that’ll make us look cool & friendly.31 July 2011 at 21:35 #22841darkness

Maybe we could have contests and stuff, like best video of the week, most absurd picture of all time, etc. Have several competitions running, besides QoTW, for WTFHAXBBQ’s sake.

ParticipantI like blogging, even though my blogs aren;t really that popular unless they have some kind of sexual context in them. I just haven’t had the time lately. I’ve been working my ass off and struggling with looking for apartments. I have to constantly fend of my mother’s attempts at begging me for money AND keep my roommates happy too AND watch kids because I live in a day care which is ironic considering how I hate children. = 3=
I still check back a lot and I agree that if you got a bunch of fresh people in here, in would generate some activity. Especially if you can come up with something to keep them busy and entertained.
