    dream levels with a dime dilation factor of 20 (That means as Yusuf in the movie says that because of sedatives used, time in the dream would be 20 times longer).

    First column to the left is the level. It starts with “Real Life”
    and goes all the way down to D20. This represents each dream level.

    Next column is the time dilation, with each level being 20x slower than the level above. in D4, “20p4x” means 20 to the power of 4 (20x20x20x20). “x” just means times (20x = 20 times the number)

    The green numbers right under “Flow of time” represent a period of time as follows: second, minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 188 minutes (world record of longest dream I’ve heard), 10 hours and 1 day. [1 day] has been added just for the hell of it.
    These numbers are the real life time and starting below that from level 1-20 shows the dilated times Cobb and his crew could experience if they kept going into a dream into a dream over and over and over again.

    Below the chart is a legend for units of time:
    s=seconds
    m=minutes
    h=hours
    d=days
    no weeks, months
    y=years
    no centuries
    K = thousand years
    M = million years
    B = billion years
    T = trillion years
    Q = Quadrillion years
    P = quintillion years
    S = sextillion years.

    Of course everything after level 3 (or 4) is limbo, and like they said in the movie it could be infinite. I crunched numbers all the way down to 20 to show just how long limbo could be.

    A single second of real time could be 78 MILLION years at level 12.

    Oh, by the way [assuming limbo is level 4] when Cobb and Mal were in limbo for 50 years, if on sedatives, this chart roughly puts their actual nap around 3 hours.
