Hello, folks. Now that I’ve sufficiently saturated the blog list (much better than I saturate my mineral fields, ha ha), it’s time to move to the forums.

So here’s my question:

As a magician, magic armor was regarded as, more or less, a useless buff in the days of yore, because one needed to spend those SP points on MP increase and MP recovery and magic claws. Currently, it buffs fairly effectively; it adds 100+ weapon defense and 200+ magic defense at max level. That’s only a tad less than event buffs to defense, which are about ~200 each defense.

My question is: is it worth it now?

SP resets are prevalent in these virulent times, so essentially any adventurer magician can reset the old skills to rearrange with their habits. Given that neither magic claw nor energy bolt are essential in many forms after second job (and with elemental reset at third, in any form), might it be worth the investment into this defunct skill?

On a second note, I can’t seem to get to level 70 in any determinable manner. For those who do arrive there (and given the many XP bonuses, overpowering of every class and/or XP-beneficial situations for enemies, I’m sure someone has), how long did it take, and what method did you utilize to get there?

I’m just curious, as the link skills are very… tantalizing.

As a cleric I maxed magic claw and kept it. I didn’t use it too much because heal works wonders, but it did get more use then holy arrow(which I got real late because it’s useless and replaced by the third job attack).

Getting to level 70 takes about a week, at most (on a mercedes).
Just do PQ’s.

I agree with greenelf. CPQ from 30 to 50, if you find and stick to a non-douchebag party, is easier than 10-30. I once leveled three times in a single CPQ after big bang. And if you are gonna go with grinding, it isn’t that slow either.

As a cleric, no. It gets replaced by invincible and all the other mess of skills. Not sure about the others as much. It is decent type neutral damage whenever though. Just keep that in mind

As a cleric, no. It gets replaced by invincible and all the other mess of skills. Not sure about the others as much. It is decent type neutral damage whenever though. Just keep that in mind

So, should I wait for decent advanced bless or something?

I’m not using a bishop. Though, I am interested if it would be better to wait for the decent advanced bless potential skill to come out (still trying to get that elusive decent hyper body).

Nah, I’m not going to cube for it. That’s what Nexon wants us to do.

But on the off chance that I do get it off of unidentified items, that’d be a nice blessing.
