ParticipantLet loose all your smalltime rants in the Mini Rants thread.
Was a popular thread back in the Proboard days. 😀18 April 2009 at 05:32 #8720irawk
ParticipantIs it just my town, or does Rock get a back seat when it comes to the radio? I mean, we have a Classic Rock station, and I love classic rock and all, but I’d love to see (hear, rather) more alternative, metal, etc. on the radio. Like, 90% of the radio stations we get here play hip-hop, rap, and country, all of which make my ears bleed. What’s a guy got to do to be able to hear some Rise Against, Linkin Park, Yellowcard, Evanescence, and Coheed & Cambria?!

ParticipantThose are awesome bands.
I hate the physical education standards that we have at our school; WE ARE NOT GOING TO ALL BECOME OLYMPIC ATHLETES! WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE TO LEARN SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING?! Whoever thought that up is a [bleep]in’ wanker. >.>;
People at my school could earn prizes for getting under someone else’s skin. It’s frustrating.
… I could go on forever, but I don’t think it would be quite justified. Lots of peoples’ lives are tons worse than mine, so I’ll just shut my mouth now XD

ParticipantDoes anyone else’s dad have the ability to turn your tiniest mistake (ex: Dropping a spoon) into an excuse for a long and drawn out lecture? << THAT is a minirant!

ParticipantMy mum does that. My dad hardly scolds me. But when he does…
Exams should be all open book. Especially you, taxes. Why on earth are you not completely open book. >O

In the Real World, if a lawyer needs to check out a provision, he or she will look it up. In the Real World, if a tax officer has to check out a tax treatment, he or she will look it up. And yes, Google answers nearly everything. xD

ParticipantI hate the fact that all the house chores are shifted onto me. Cooking, cleaning, laundry. EVERYTHING. While my brother lazes around at home doing NOTHING. Practically NOTHING. Apparently, his ‘studies’ are more important than these ‘minute’ tasks. And what does he do? Oh, lemme guess. 40% sleep. 30% Computer. 20% exercise. 10% Studies. Even when he’s not busy, nooo, it just has to be me. Because “It’s your job.” And somehow everything that happens at home is somehow my fault. Mum forgot to send application form online? Oh, cause I didn’t check her email for her. My brother’s done watching TV, but why ain’t it turned off? Oh yea, cuz I didn’t turn it off.
What the hell.

Yes that’s exactly what happens in my household. My brother is on his bed doing his so called ‘homework’ and my dad forces me to do everything. He’s watching TV and he tells me to go wash the dishes when I’m genuinely doing my homework. When my brother is upstairs, he brings the clothes all the way down to the basement and goes, “Do the laundry, it’s your chore.”
