ParticipantOooh, the ones Silver colored are being used for posts I see. Uh, well, was that initial picture of the jewel transparent, V? If so, isn’t it ok for the others not to be?

ParticipantUh, guys, I think you could go to the Hue/Saturation menu for your editing programs and change the colors there. Hue is just another name for what color you want, so yeah (brightness and contrast might be available as well; contrast just being how MUCH of the color is present, i.e. each level is another layer of that color). Maybe afterward you can change the opacity of the entire image (or just select the interior) to make it transparent, and fill in the border again with black pixels (so only the interior is slightly transparent).
I’d try to do this all, but sadly I am not on my editing computer, and I thought VuTales was blocked at the school (which at least has Macromedia Fireworks) when in actuality it was just experiencing some down time.

ParticipantNo, transparent as in the background.

ParticipantOh, my bad. PDN and Fireworks are sexy enough to do that, BUT ALAS ONCE AGAIN, I am not able to help.

Huh? Isn’t that sort of what I did? O_O But without all the complicated steps.. afterwards.. O__O
If anyone wants to do this…
Take the raw image
Add a Hue layer
Have fun with a brush?EDIT: Nvm. MCheeze who was confused got me confused. :3

ParticipantWhy do you even need a brush? All you need to do is adjust hue and you’re done.

ParticipantEh, the glow’s kinda weird. Seems like you colored outta the lines.
Edit: And yes, domino wall of confusion.
