So. Being in a band.

So, ladies and gents. I am at a dilemma.

I think I’m in this band now. Probably. Unless I fuck up royally. Or decide I can’t write music. But it can’t be that hard, right?

All players involved thus far are REALLY good at what they do, and I feel honored to be a part of it.
But here’s my problem.

The guitarist and drummer from this band came to form a new one, due to creative differences. And as far as I can tell, I am now the lead singer.
But my problem comes from the old vocalist. They still play this style.. but the previous chick sounds so 80s Joan Jett that I think I’ll have a hard time trying to grow this band past that.

But nothing is guaranteed, and they might come up with someone better in the next few weeks, or they might decide that I’m not the best fit. That’s okay. But Joan Jett? Really?
