When clicking on the fragments on the front page, make it lead to the user ID, with an option to reFrag it, so like having a link in the header which leads to your vutales ID with the box filled in with the subject @’user’

Fragments is slowly overpowering the Mail option. People aren’t bothering to PM each other, the Fragment board is less of a discussion openbox and more of a privatized shoutbox.

Seriously. I love how many people are holding conversations over fragments when the PM system is actually much better suited for that. Well, unless you want to randomly have other people look at your conversation, which I can understand to an extent. But… it’s really not designed for that!

Might as well just implement wall posts, really, and make fragments that are actually fragments post to the user’s own wall.

To add onto the suggestion, though, as-is, PM ping notices could quote the fragment and then give the reply link, as well.

Yeah that’d be nice actually, have the option to refrag it in the PM instead of the header. YEAH. AWSUM.

Yeah, I’m probably going to overhaul the frag system with the new site. It’s coming really soon, I promise. I didn’t expect people to use the ping function as much as it is, and the result is the mail notices are annoying and obnoxious. I’m going to replace them with a menu item instead.

I’m currently in a state of limbo between making new features for the current site, and developing the new. Since a new feature for the current site will mean remaking parts of it for the new.

The AJAX on IDs interferes with something like /user/Vusys?ping=true , which means I’ve not added it properly. The new site will have the AJAX on IDs toned down, so it won’t be a problem.
