[16:15] JPGs are for photos
[16:15] GIFs are for animations until animated PNGs become common place
[16:15] PNGs are for win and awesome and fluffy kittens.
[16:16] BMPs are for fail and hate and war
[16:16] TIFF is the name of a girl I used to like, and also some random image type.
[16:16] SVG is vector, which takes ages to render in firefox for me.
