ParticipantI think it’s a bit obvious… (Nintendo)

ParticipantI didn’t bother watching Microsoft’s, but Nintendo’s was great (gonna watch Sony’s in a bit since I missed it this morning). Also be aware that some games for the 3DS not shown at the conference include Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Starfox 64 3D, and some third-party games from the Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, and Metal Gear Solid franchises. Overall the 3DS looks really impressive, and I plan on spending a lot of time with it. I’m also expecting to get about five Wii games over the span of about a year: Donkey Kong Country Returns, TLoZ: Skyward Sword, Kirby: Epic Yarn, Metroid: Other M, and maybe Mario Sports Mix. Overall Nintendo revitalized a ton of classic franchises with new, interesting titles (sans Pikmin, F-Zero, and Starfox to a point), and the 3DS is gonna rock.

ParticipantNintendo.
Not Valve. D<
I’m honestly not surprised Microsoft came out as lack-luster, because they revealed too much about Natal for it to be a big deal to us. Throw it “casual” and you’ve got a bad potion.
Sony…a good line up, punctured by PSN+ and Move. Still..a good line-up.
Nintendo, on the other hand, had so many titles they had to use 16PT font on their screens to fit all the games in.16 June 2010 at 00:13 #19747tarheel91
ParticipantThere are actually more. They didn’t even mention half the 3DS titles.
Check out this
thread.
Yes, that IS an OOT remake for the 3DS at the bottom. This might just be the best E3 presentation of all time.

ParticipantYeah, compared to last year’s E3, Nintendo’s conference was a million times better this year. 🙂 Last year Microsoft was much stronger, this year, they were kinda like Nintendo last year, (seriously, what the fudge, Kinect?) Name aside though (seeing as Wii isn’t that much better) it looks like a cool system, and the 360 slim also looks very cool. :O Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3, all good stuff, but overall it was just an improvement on old stuff. Nintendo just went all out.. But I’m still not sure on the 3DS, it seems cool, and especially the technology behind it. Anyway, their titles are going to be impressive, a new metroid should be coming from what I’ve seen… new zelda, and DONKEY KONG <3 Personal favorite. :3

ParticipantYou and your VGChartz, Tarheel. I check that site very day. 😉 It’s good to see the 3DS rivals the PSP in graphics though. I really wanna know more about what it can do with Wi-Fi though, and I hope some sort of better Internet browser is in order.
Oh yeah, after watching Sony’s conference, I can say that it was good, but it seemed to drag on a bit. Kevin Butler’s awesome though.

Looks a bit better than the PSP to me, and that’s with launch window games. O_o
VGChartz rocks. I’ve been a member for years. It’s really the only gaming site I frequent daily anymore.

ParticipantKid Icarus and Star Fox look genuinely good; Mario Kart, Paper Mario, and Animal Crossing are looking pretty nice too; RE and MGS are pre-rendered, but still look better than the foggy pre-rendered cut scenes I see on a lot of other DS games; DoA and SF4 are looking kinda bad though– it seems every keeps doing Focus Attacks in the SF4 pictures. Idc about the others, but I guess Kingdom Hearts graphics seem better than 358/2 Days so far.
I’m somewhat convinced that the DS and Gameboy are my favorite gaming platforms, so I’m really excited for the 3DS. Paper Mario is my favorite series of all time, so I’m stoked, etc.

ParticipantNintendo completely destroys Microsoft and Sony in innovation, but the graphics and online service is really poor. If Nintendo can step it up, then by golly.
@Cheeze:
1. Something tells me that they’re going to make a Smash for the 3DS with Wi Fi.
2. Paper Mario is going to be the first title I’m going to get (assuming it’s released with the console) I’ve played through every single one and defeated the Pit of 100 Trials for every single one; excluding PM1.16 June 2010 at 16:47 #19758Dustin

Awesome!
Also… Graphics?
Guess what?
It’s the 3DS version of Metal Gear Solid 3.
EDIT: I found this video. Shows that Microsoft made a press conference that was as bad as Nintendo from two years ago and Sony from three.16 June 2010 at 20:17 #19760MasterCheeze

Also, Super Paper Mario was the first game I got for my Wii, so if I had to choose one game for the 3DS to get first it’d probably be the Paper Mario one.

Weren’t the L and R buttons both used for shield? Why not relegate shielding to one of the two and put grab on the other?

Yeah, L might have to be my new grab if the controls are somewhat the same. It was just handy to have Shield and Z for dash/pivot grabbing both on the right side. Maybe Y (the top one iirc) would work too, I dunno.
