If glares were lasers, there would’ve now been two smoking holes in Lucifer’s head. Kit strapped her two trusty twin knives to her leather belt, snapping, “Of course I can keep up!” Secretly, she slipped a smaller blade into her left boot. “I’m only short, not old and decrepit!” Puffing herself up as much as possible, she poked Lucifer in the chest, hard. “Oh, and you’re also responsible for the money,” she snapped, dropping a small pouch of gold into his hands. Turning away, she fastened on a traveler’s cloak, before spinning back around with a broad, mischievous grin. “Okey, here we go!”
Kitalasca Lavendear, better known as Kit, was busy going over the rolls of parchment she had written on, when she heard a soft thump derail her train of thought. She looked up, grinning crookedly. “Hey there,” she greeted Lucifer in a lighthearted tone. “I’ve been getting lots of reports on village burnings and the like… but wherever I’ve been going on recon, the king’s men seem to invariably show up within a day or two, so I’m a bit worried that we may have a snitch. I’d like you to look into that as soon as possible.” Kit got up from her rather comfortable spot on the floor, dusting her clothes off. “Actually, it’s been really boring sitting in there, so I think I’m gonna come with you.”
I think one of the main sticking points is where to define “life”… some people say that it’s as soon as the fetus “exists”, and other people don’t define life as starting until the third trimester… :/
Anyway, death row inmates usually are still around for a couple decades after they’re sentenced… and there are always appeals and whatnot… :/
Either way, it’s something you can’t give back. Your time and/or your life? :/
I think it’s pretty ridiculous though when somebody get sentenced to over a hundred years in prison… = =”

If the moon is gone, the tides cycle will be thrown completely out of whack, and weather will go crazy as well. xP
