Sure, we could certainly keep trying, but the chances of people wanting to stay in our little cozy website are fairly slim unless we individually get people to come.. and that hasn’t worked out very well.Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see more people on this site because of the history, and I’d hate to see it die, but I can’t see us getting a boom of new users any time soon.
I beg to differ. It’s only been a few years since VuTales’ inception. I think we can visit this “new traffic” theory a few more times before it dies.

ParticipantWhat happened to all of the Broans?
darkness
ParticipantWell…
…what games are we playing? FPS? Fighters? Strategy? RPG? RTS? Free-roaming? Pixelated? Handheld? Console? PC/Mac? Phone? Apps?
If we’re going to have a mission statement, might as well find the common ground between the 30 of us that run this tavern.

And that goes for any/every game.Nah, fighting games before the genre dies again. Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012 is about to drop in a few days, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is in full force, Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 are coming out soon, Skullgirls is looking fine, and don’t forget about Soul Calibur 5 which I’m kinda hyped for.
Eh. The fan base for fighters seems… isolated. I don’t really hear much about even popular games like Street Fighter and Tekken.
FPS has a large community, but I’m afraid that I’ll just drag in a bunch of douches.

ParticipantHaha. Great. Then we’d be a bunch of criminals on the lam.
Well, if they are friendly, I may well approve of it.
darkness
ParticipantI don’t get it.
darkness
ParticipantSeriously? You have no friends that have a 360?
Wow. I mean, I’d expect that for myself (and I actually have a 360 somewhere… somewhere), but come on, get some decent
friendsleech off of someone! How do you think I’m surviving college?darkness
ParticipantDo what good friends do: mooch off of someone who has a 360.
darkness
ParticipantIf you have a 360, I’d suggest investing in one of those newfangled games that just came out (and with Black Friday, they may be discounted). I’ve really never heard of a decent free FPS game (was TF2 made free to play recently? I don’t remember, some game became free). Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 and Halo: CEA all look like viable choices. Being a Halo fanboy, I’d recommend the last one, since the graphics are beautiful (the other two have gritty, urban, wartime environments, which are nice in their own respects), the gameplay is exactly the same as the old Halo: CE (with skulls and terminals, so that may shake things up), and the map pack it comes with is nice, since it contains remakes of Halo and Halo 2 maps as well as a firefight map with AI allies (betrayal!).

ParticipantForgot about Cyber Monday. Are the deals then usually better? It’s been almost a year since the last one.

ParticipantWell, I’m open to another hundred, so long the shelf life is worth it. Antiquity of a computer doesn’t mean much when it comes to gaming or basic functions; every windows from like 98 or 93 on had the office bundle, and anything at least XP will run games smoothly (processor notwithstanding). I have a netbook, and jesus, it takes 15 minutes to load MS.
darkness
ParticipantHeck, that’d be a nice life to live.
Granted. However, due to the incredibly mass influx of data being jammed into your hippocampus, your mind cannot withstand it, and your blood vessels explode. I’m not cleaning up the blood on your keyboard.
I wish you’d blog some more.
darkness
ParticipantWish granted. You get Lindsay Lohan. Plus her jail time; good luck with that.
I wish for fire.
darkness
ParticipantY’know, I would grant that wish, but I have no idea what Monsanto is and don’t feel like looking it up, so I’ll just give you a bowl of hot oatmeal to dwell over.
I wish for water. Be imaginative.
