Yeah, compared to last year’s E3, Nintendo’s conference was a million times better this year. 🙂 Last year Microsoft was much stronger, this year, they were kinda like Nintendo last year, (seriously, what the fudge, Kinect?) Name aside though (seeing as Wii isn’t that much better) it looks like a cool system, and the 360 slim also looks very cool. :O Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3, all good stuff, but overall it was just an improvement on old stuff. Nintendo just went all out.. But I’m still not sure on the 3DS, it seems cool, and especially the technology behind it. Anyway, their titles are going to be impressive, a new metroid should be coming from what I’ve seen… new zelda, and DONKEY KONG <3 Personal favorite. :3

Headphones have a microphone on them, the ones with a minimicrophone. Most don’t.
Well, I dunno, but the way I’m looking at it, when I grew up in China, I learned that fun came not in the form of like partying in clubs or whatnot. :/ If I took a look at say, the BillBoard 40, OMG, California Gurls, Your Love is My Drug, etc, etc, none of it sends a very positive message, does it? They’re all about fun, but certainly, when you look at the lyrics…
It’s just my personal opinion that the songs are absolute crap – doesn’t stop me from listening to it.
Just as a side note, I see American society (and subsequently, the songs that come out of it) as one of the worst. It used to be innovative and such, and it still is, but so far, it’s been decaying since LSD was invented. It’s something that won’t change obviously, so just wait for the Asian countries to run Earth over. >>; Especially India, considering their population is growing exponentially.
I guess – except I sure as hell know that none of the current mainsteam music are done to express themselves. o.o
What I think she’s saying now is that most of the other pop songs suck, ’cause they aren’t expressing anything. I’ll have to admit, her songs does have a certain meaning, and she said Party in the U.S. wasn’t going to be popular in her mind, which meant that the song that had the least meaning, she disliked.
However, her lyrics are godawful in that can’t be tamed song, seriously, no.
Artists don’t necessarily listen to their “genre.” I know for a fact that there are artists out there that will change the radio station when they hear their own song on the radio. They just might not like themselves, but it’s not out of the ordinary to say, hey, I make pop, but I don’t listen to it.
Plus, when she said that pop stars are over-glam, isn’t that true? ‘course she’s no exception, but you can’t judge her based on a single statement she says, regardless.
No, the writer is twisting it so that it seems she was dissing. You don’t know the context of what this was said in.
If she said those with an attitude that stated, yeah, pop stars are stupid and they’re all glam while being egotistical, fine, but I don’t see that, and especially not from this type of source.
If it was say, NYTimes, or the AP, maybe.

2) Writer of the article is voicing own opinion, if this was a news site, that is a terrible example of coverage. Then again, can’t expect much on such a topic.
3) Who cares?Also, we can only just keep on hating, ’cause regardless, she’s a million times worth more than all of us combined. Luck? Maybe. Talent? Perhaps.
I do kinda disagree with the zero musical ability though, during the auditions for Hannah Montana or whatnot, she was one of the few that got selected, but actually wasn’t offered the role initially, and she did go through a stage of slight shock after that. But then that other girl pulled out and she got chosen. Shows that she does have the capability to sing, and it wasn’t until recently that she went cuckoo.
But anyway, I hate her the same way I hate Lady Gaga (I do listen to their songs, regardless, although less now, since I discovered British bands and House/Trance >;
