Lavina stepped back in the dim tavern, and walked the counter at the back of the room. She replaced her broom with a rag, and went on the wipe the tables. It seemed that of the drinks the men ordered, more of it was spilled than actually drank. As she made her way to another table to clean, she spotted two men clash.
Another brawl. What else is new?She was shocked to see one the two actually apologize, and both went about their separate ways. What shocked her even more was the amount of the gold the first man had in his hands after their brief encounter. There was no way he could have had that while he tripped into him. She couldn’t be too sure about what the man just did, and she did not want to risk a terribly scolding from the owner, so she chose to walk over and strike up a conversation while taking his order. Hardly suspicious at all.
“Good day to you sir, what would you like today?” Lavina curtsied slightly with her greeting. “And if you do not mind me saying, it is not a very safe idea to be displaying such a large amount of gold in such a small tavern”.

and this continues for every one of her fucking fake friends. Like they all need to reassure each other they are hot stuff, even though some of them arent….

The tavern door creaked open slightly as Lavina stepped out, broom in hand. She coughed as she swept the dust out onto the street. She was fussier than usual today. Everyday before business picked up, she swept. Sometimes, it wasn’t even dirty, she simply felt the need to occupy herself.
As she cleared the last of the dirt outside, Lavina caught sight of the dangling corpses. Children ran past in horror, some even crying. Even some grown men were forced to look away, their faces reading of disgust. Lavina could smell the pungent odour from where she stood. But she did not look away or cringe. She looked straight at each man, their rotting bodies swaying ever so slightly. From what was still remaining of their faces, she could make out the pained expressions, crying out before their very last moment.
She smirked. Just a few less drunken slobs she would have to deal with at the tavern. She spent a few more moments staring before hearing the grunt of the owner, calling her back in. What I wouldn’t give for him to be hanging from the gallows.
