ParticipantDavid said: Weed is the starting point to all drugs. But whatever, natural selection will wipe out those who fail at using weed/live properly.
Weed should be legal, but only b/c it’s taxable and could put some more funds to help the other aspects of society.
Cigarettes are the gateway. Weed comes after.

ParticipantZappy, why is weed illegal and tobacco not? They both have the same effects, just that weed has more of a relaxing effect. In addition, tobacco companies also lace cigarettes.
By your logic, alcohol and cigarettes should be illegal too…If weed was legalized, the police wouldn’t have to look for illegal possession, saving their time for other crimes, as well as money to have more police. The government could also tax the weed and therefore, earn more revenue. Don’t want to pay the tax? The money is going to go towards paying off the country’s debt, which surpassed $10 trillion a while ago. Don’t smoke it, then. Easy solution.

ParticipantLife imprisonment is a waste of taxpayer money. It also provides people with time to escape, putting dangerous people back onto the streets.

ParticipantJoint? As in rolled sticks of weed?

ParticipantNazism isn’t even religion. It’s a form of government. Go away. D:<
Scientology is obviously the only religion anyone should follow. They have concrete facts.

ParticipantAs long as you don’t do drugs and stuff like that, it’s okay. Go do whatever you want. Don’t let your parents stop you from doing stuff every teenager is supposed to do. (I don’t mean killing people, joining gangs, and stuff like that.)

I don’t understand why you’re scared. As of right now, and the next three or so years, we have a Democrat supermajority (yes, I mean supermajority) under the Obama administration. After that, we have 2012. You know what that means. 😛No I kid. The Republicans will never get public support for a plan like that.
