And if he is going as far as you PAY a lawyer to sue a site for pure CODE, with no PERSONAL BENIFIT to him..he will be doing a very stupid business move.
If anything..resume work on the new code. We have people here willing to help if need be.
I assume you can remain stoic in the face of adversary, so I will not advise any Bodgan-communication-based comments.
Our refers to his “company”. While he is a solitary designer, I’m sure he would have hired help with the basic layouts. My friend makes $200 a pop in that business.
It’s our community against his. He cannot say that MMOT was shut down for inactivity because we still existed there, and he was still making a profit, may it be small. Point against him. He does not use the code for any other reason.
Most copyright laws indicate the offended is using the code in parallel to the owner. This, in our case, is not true. Cyber plagerism laws are much softer then actual hard-copy laws as well.I need names of those who are admin for out Proboards. I still have access (and moderation) to our Paper Hell and Moonlight RP boards, if emergency calls.

Actually, the board belongs to me lol. I was the one who ran the Moonlight Bay RP.
Or, anyways, I would assume I’m the admin.

Same thing he did with BasilCMS – hire a lawyer for internet business, ie.
cyberlawyers, and sue Vusys for intellectual, as well as, direct content and copyright infringement.Do note that Mr. Basil does have his legal shit down – and he’s not unknown. Due to him being a partner with several other affiliations, I’m afraid that Vusys is obviously disadvantaged at this point. Also, Mr. Basil’s ability to be a cold-hearted ass really doesn’t help either.
At this point, don’t take down the site. Rename it, slap on another set of css docs, and hope that Captain’s rage subsides.
@ SirPainsalot, the site content is directly stolen. All he has to say is, “here’s my source, it was here before VuTales existed, compare and contrast – oh wait, there’s not much to contrast is there?” Also, his copyright extends 01-Aug-10, and that’s when the domain http://www.mmotales.com expires.
Vusys, best bet is to… sigh, well, I don’t know, and it doesn’t seem like anyone knows at this point. Just hope for the best that he’ll leave you alone after you change the name.
Change it to VBS or something, I don’t think he’ll mind.
