There are actually more. They didn’t even mention half the 3DS titles.

    Check out this thread.

Yes, that IS an OOT remake for the 3DS at the bottom. This might just be the best E3 presentation of all time.

I’ve just been really busy. Lots of drama and stuff to do in my life at the moment. I’ll get back to it in a few days hopefully.

Also, I believe that rap went only downhill since its beginning of fame. AKA, after Run D.M.C.

Nah, you’re just not listening to the right artists. It’s like there’s two types of rap.
    1. is like smoking, getting bitches, having your swag on etc…
    2. is like you know, telling you never to give up cuz you might go far and stuff.

Some artists, like Eminem for example, still stick with the basics and rap about things that actually matter.

In the old days, with Notorious B.I.G. and stuff, rappers only did path #2, that’s why it looks so different.

I dunno, just listen to some underground shit.

I’d debate that that’s all there is, but that certainly does make up a very large portion of all rap and hip hop. I’d agree that most of the mainstream stuff is generic and shitty. Like any genre, of course, there are some notable exceptions (Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Andre 3000, B.o.B, etc.).

You forgot the other big portion of rap–talking about how awesome you are:

[altho, their songs r catchy lul]

I know more white girls who listen to Korean music than Korean girls. O_o

David said: Well, I dunno, but the way I’m looking at it, when I grew up in China, I learned that fun came not in the form of like partying in clubs or whatnot. :/ If I took a look at say, the BillBoard 40, OMG, California Gurls, Your Love is My Drug, etc, etc, none of it sends a very positive message, does it? They’re all about fun, but certainly, when you look at the lyrics…

It’s just my personal opinion that the songs are absolute crap – doesn’t stop me from listening to it.

Just as a side note, I see American society (and subsequently, the songs that come out of it) as one of the worst. It used to be innovative and such, and it still is, but so far, it’s been decaying since LSD was invented. It’s something that won’t change obviously, so just wait for the Asian countries to run Earth over. >>; Especially India, considering their population is growing exponentially.

Err, I never said I like pop. I was just explaining why what Miley said is stupid. I have a pretty wide range of interests when it comes to music (aside from screamo and heavy metal, I listen to and am reasonably knowledge about just about every genre). However, I avoid pop at all costs, especially when a song’s success is determined more by the power of the record label and how much they want it to succeed than anything else.

That said, when it comes to music, especially music that’s designed to be easy to sing with a very simple beat, what better way to have fun with it than dance? It only makes sense then to make that type of song about dancing.

In regards to the whole society thing, I think you’ll agree that pop music isn’t necessarily representative of all of American culture and society. Regardless, your example is a pretty poor one. Since America remains the popular cultural of the world, everyone continues to emulate them, even leading Asian countries:

    Japan

    Korea

    China

David said: I guess – except I sure as hell know that none of the current mainsteam music are done to express themselves. o.o

What I think she’s saying now is that most of the other pop songs suck, ’cause they aren’t expressing anything. I’ll have to admit, her songs does have a certain meaning, and she said Party in the U.S. wasn’t going to be popular in her mind, which meant that the song that had the least meaning, she disliked.

However, her lyrics are godawful in that can’t be tamed song, seriously, no.

First of all, I think limiting music’s worth to how “meaningful the lyrics are” is stupid. There’s much more to music than profound lyrics, and I can assure you that none of Miley’s lyrics are profound. Sure, they have meaning, but it’s the same way a generic summer blockbuster’s plot has meaning. Yeah, it’s there, but it’s not very good.

Pop music IS about having fun, keeping things fresh and exciting. It really is about having a good time, so if you don’t like that concept, don’t bother with it.

I think the real issue is that music is supposed to be a form of self expression, a way for you to share a part of your own creativity with others. If you don’t like what you’re making, why are you making it in the first place? There’s no way that such insincere music could be considered equal to something that comes from the heart of an equally talented musician.

Am I the only one that’s not run into bugs or lag?

I think lag is either engine or computer related. I didn’t see an “Automatically selected for your computer” thing in the settings, so I think they have it set on high for everyone to start off with. Only time I ran into a bit of lag was when I needed to restart my computer (RAM was all used up) and the screen was very busy.
