Meh. Take MK:Wii for example. All the packaging shows the wheel used to play it, in reality it’s not the best controller, although good for a wheel. Then there’s the wiimotes which are a pain. I prefer the GC controller, but that’s limited by a wire, even though the Wii has bluetooth. And don’t get me started on the “classic” controller. ugh.
For what it’s worth, I know a guy who will lap you without power ups using a Wiimote.

I’m not any where near the best player, so I’m sure you could find people who could beat me with any controller.
But I prefer the GC controller or at the very least that style of controller over the wiimote.
He’s ridiculous. People with 9999 VC get lapped by him easily. I guess my point is that games like MK only lack depth on the surface. The Wiimote gets more comfortable the more you use it. I think the real issue is that for people like us who have been playing with standard controllers all our lives, the Wiimote is a radical departure.

I’m just glad I don’t need to buy a Wii to get the same capabilities of one for 1/2 the price!
Do you understand the difference between software and hardware? Ignoring the complaints about lagginess from the Move and it’s simple inferiority to WM+ (although better than just a standard WM), you need software to “get the same capabilities.” No devs know how to use this yet. It’ll be the first couple of years of Wii software except without the excellent first party stuff. Has anyone besides myself played the games from the Wii launch window? The controls sucked. No one knew what they were doing. Releasing a peripheral like this only 2 years before this generation will probably end is not a great decision. You don’t have the first party development teams that Nintendo had to make the necessary quality software. It doesn’t come with every PS3, so the install base will be tiny. How can anyone think this will go well? They should have just waited for the PS4 and released it with it.

Playstation Move will have to deal with that AND a much smaller userbase. I really have a hard time seeing it succeeding.

I played it in CBT. It’s like MS with easier grinding and a more complicated combat system. I figure it’s worth another try now that a lot has changed if you can’t play MS.
