The more muscle you have relative to your total weight, the higher your metabolism (of course, other things factor in, but muscle mass is directly related to metabolism). Guess how you build muscle? Excercise/working out.

    For every ten pounds of fat that you convert to muscle, you burn about forty extra calories per hour when not, y’know, exercising, which equates to about a teaspoon of butter for most people… Or at least, that’s what I’ve heard. o.o;;

    Source? O_o By the way, if that was true, that’d be an extra 960 calories you could consume per day.

    Her songs are decent. I’d go to her concert, not for the music, but for the view. She’s gorgeous.

    The bottom line is you will need regular exercise no matter what.

    Diet is still very important. If a person is exercising regularly, they might be able to eat more “junk” food (I’m including most carbohydrate-rich foods in this category due to their role in gaining weight, not just processed food and sugar) without gaining weight. Depending on what they are eating, however, it is still possible to exercise often and gain weight as fat rather than muscle.

    If someone doesn’t exercise and eats the same foods, they will gain weight. But if they eat the right foods, that sedentary person would be able to get away with only a small amount of exercise (say, a walk around the block every day?) without gaining weight.

    Also, here’s a silly useless (non political) fact for the day… TIME magazine states exercise might not be as beneficial for losing weight as you might think it is. As when you take an hour to burn 150 calories, you can easily get it back by just drinking soda. Also, exercise generally makes you hungrier, and they generally didn’t lose more weight than those who dieted instead.

    Burning 150 calories in an hour isn’t exercising. Just shooting hoops burns over 300 calories an hour for most people (about 350 for me). An actual game will burn 500+ calories per hour.

    Or, even easier, just go into MS Paint and click on “Stretch/Skew.” It’s REAL tough stuff.

    LOL i began drinking last year, noob

    I didn’t know anyone in VuTales was that much of a rebel/bad ass. I’ve never done it, but mostly because I have no interest in dancing. A couple of friends have been begging me to go with them for like 2 years now since I look older than my age and they want a guy to go with (for protection).

    you shouldve gone then! you dont actually “dance” in clubs.. i dont really know how to explain it.. you just gotta be there to know, you know. its actually pretty fun tho. well depends because if you go to a party with less than half of the ppl you know there, the experience will suck. but if you go to parties that you actually know the people, then yeah it’ll kick ass.. cuz the girls are like drunk as shit and you can just grab any girl and dance with them, they wont even remember at all. yes, all guys tend to take advantage. that’s only one perspective of having fun in clubs
    the other perspective is just being there with your friends, having a blast. partying with friends. good alcoholic drinks. i drink until i’m tipsy and im done for the day lol

    Ha, it wouldn’t work like that with them. I’d have to dance with them and look after them once they got drunk. It was gonna be more of a chore than anything, and I didn’t want crap happening in my car (i.e. them throwing up) and then having to deal with that or explain it.

    I am a UNC fan. I was accepted into UNC. UNC does not have an engineering program since it’s a liberal arts school, much less a mechanical engineering degree. Thus, I went to NC State. It has one of the top engineering programs in the country, and mechanical engineering is particularly good there.

    Classes start on Aug 19th at NC State. T_T
