Zombie Virus!

By In Uncategorized

Well. My brother, the food flinger, got himself a device to attach to a playstation 2. That can make the playstation read import games.
Very cool, cause now we can games made in Europe and all that that hasn't been released in America.

The first game we're playing is "Zombie Virus".
Probably seen it… you play an Ambulance driver.

Story is pretty much as such. Your a medical student working the Sunshine City Hospital with a feollow student.
Suddenly theres an earthquake.
Outside… its completely silent… everyone's gone.
Suddenly, zombies start emerging from everywhere! Reports on a radio say that estimates that at least 90% of the city's population is already dead.
You, your female friend, and 2 other hospital staff still there. (Receptionist, and a nurse). The area you start off in is the Parking Garage that houses the ambulance you drive. You run around, talk to the people.
Receptionist – Save/Load game data.
Female Student – Tutorial
Nurse – Keeps track of progress.
Well, the objective is to go out, and rescue people. These people help you out.
Male/Female Civillians – Boost Hospital Moral (As you play, the hospital is under seige and the progress bar is a "Moral" bar. If it hits 0, Game Over (AKA – Hospital Overrun). To raise this bar, you run over zombies and chain a combo. 5 killed, 10 killed, 25 killed, 50 killed, 100 killed. In-A-Row. It boosts moral by doing so.

Mechanics – Having mechanics mean you can then upgrade your vehicals. More mechanics you save, higher the tech level. To get new stuff, you gotta kill the number of zombies for each part. Once done, you can attach it to your ambulance, or even build a new ambulance.
Things you can upgrade.
Bumper – More damage to zombies, easier to run over and kill. (Most times you knock em aside)
Tires – Increases your manuverability.
Headlights/Siren – Increases your minimap range, makes it easier to find survivors.
Engine – Increases max speed.

Police Officers – Increases your Max Moral Cap. The more cops you have, the more moral you can build up so you can last longer without worrying about killing zombies and such.

Soldiers – Slows down moral drop rate. Does what it means.

Politicians – Rescuing them progresses the storyline and unlocks new sections of the city.

Well… seems easy. But its not.
Always gotta keep an eye on the Moral level… if you run over zombies, one's upper half may fly up and latch onto the roof, which means you gotta shake both analog sticks to get him off and stop him from damaging you.
Survivors have a timelimit in your ambulance. If you take too long, they'll turn into zombies… inside the ambulance.
Which hurts ALOT and then you gotta ram your car against something hard to have the back fly open and the zombie fly out.

Even had a boss fight… against a HUGE…i mean HUUUGEGEEEEEEEEEE worm.
Had to ram its sides while drifting to dodge it.

Still not sure what caused the zombies, but when talking to a survivor I saved, he said "I remember my buddy telling me that the tap water tasted strange…."
Something in the water maybe?

Well… gonna play more tonight.
On top of that, we're waiting for Earth Defense Force 2.
Not that one for the 360, the European version, that takes place in Europe.
Heard it was 3 times as big as the 360 version, with LOADS of new enemies.
Flying bugs anyone?

With zombies and no weapons except your vehicles.
