The title "Gamer".
It USED to have meaning, it USED to be a badge of pride among others, it USED to have a purpose.
Now… now its just worthless.
A Gamer was originally, before even GameFaqs was around, someone who played alot of video games, wrote down their own discovered cheats, shared them with friends and talked about games and so forth.
Remember? Back when you memorized the sequence to Legend of Zelda's lost woods? GOOD FLIPPIN TIMES
Now people believe that once you pick up a controller and play ANYTHING on a console/PC, your a Gamer!
WRONG!
"I play Guitar Hero! I R GAMER" No…
"I play Solitare! I R GAMER" NO!
"I play Wii Sports! I R GAMER!" DIE… NOW.
Just case you used a controller once doesn't throw you in the mix… it takes dedication.
And you know what people do for people who truely are Gamers?!
Say they're addicted and create rehab centers for them… or create stupid gameshows like "Ultimate Gamer"… seriouslly?
Then you got those retarded 7 year olds, who get an XBOX 360 cause their parents don't want a babysitter or something, then go on XBOX Live to butcher everything. Calling the pro's newbs, thinking they know everything… making Gamers look bad…
They're like… the Ferverts of Furries… outcasts… idiots…
Then they started creating "classes" of gamers.
Hardcore? Casual? Retro? CyberAthlete? TableGamer?
Seriouslly….
Its just sad now.

My record for consecutive gaming hours runs in the triple digits.
But strangely, most of these avid gamers I see are not short sighted.
