So. Yesterday, my mom started going back to work at the elementary school, and since my dad is already working as well, she took my little brothers to daycare. Haaalelujiah. Today, they were gone again. I got to sleep in until 9:00~ish, and woke up to the beautiful sound of silence. No little brothers running through the house screaming at each other, no "iCarly" theme song playing (They've been watching it for the past two weeks, like 8 episodes a day! :O), no Mom telling me to do the dishes. Pure, absolute bliss. I made myself a Mocha Frapuccino with the Magic Bullet, checked my e-mail, did my dailies on Gaia and
DarkThrone and
Mobsters, and grabbed my Guitar Hero: Smash Hits game from my dresser. I'd gotten it on Wednesday with my latest paycheck, played it all night, and beat the last couple of songs on Thursday. I've been keeping it hidden in my dresser so as to preent my little brothers fro breaking it, as they do so well to all my other Xbox games.
After about a half hour of just screwing around, I play Psychobilly Freakout, which I have only gotten 3 stars on so far. This time, however, I'm on a roll. I've got Hyperspeed on and am totally focused. My fingers were moving like lightning. My brain wasn't even thinking, it just saw colors and told my fingers to move. The song ends, I've got 4 stars, something I've never done on Psychobilly Freakout, even on GH:2, which I've owned for like 3 years now.
I go for a bike ride to the nearest gas station and pick up a Full Throttle. It's my addiction, I love Full Throttle Energy Drinks (Only the original flavor tho). I get home and drink it, check my MySpace and Facebook and then go back to Guitar Hero. This time, I play "Through The Fire And The Flames," notoriously Guitar Hero's hardest song (Tho I still find "Jordan" and "Satch Boogie" impossible to beat… I got 3 stars on TTFATF yesterday for the first time <3). The intro is, in my opinion, the hardest part to get, though the solos are the hardest part to master. I use Danny (A.K.A. "GuitarHeroPhenom")'s method, holding the green button with my right hand and tapping the red, yellow, blue, and orange buttons with my left. In GH:3, I still have trouble strumming that first red note with my elbow, it's really difficult, especially because I play standing up. On Smash Hits, the whole intro is slider buttons, which, those of you who know about the new improvements to GH, can be tapped as if they were hammerons and pulloffs, but don't need to be strummed, ever. If you're playing a slider section and you miss a note, just keep on tapping. It's the equivalent of putting your finger on the string and sliding it back and forth… sort of… 😛
So I begin TTFATF, nail the Intro perfectly, and get into "the zone." I am nailing sections I'd never even imagined hitting. I got more star power phrases than I'd ever hit before, and executed them in all the right places. I finished the song with 4 stars, 92% notes hit!!!! :O I R EPIK WINZ.
Anyways, the rest of the family got home just as I beat TTFATF, so I showed them the score screen and was all like "OMFG I R EPIK WINZ!!! :O" and my little brothers were like "DUDE, UR AWESOME."
I made dinner, consisting of Lasagna and garlic bread (And peas, but I didn't eat em :P), which my picky little brothers surprisingly ate. I then took some photos of myself and uploaded them to Facebook/MySpace, since I hadn't uploaded any new pics of myself in a while. After that, I accompanied my mom to Wal-Mart to go grocery shopping. We've started getting Food Stamps this last month, which is awesome because where my mom used to only spend $400/month on food, even before we hit hard times, we get like $800/month in Food Stamps (Or something like that), so we now get MORE food than before!
I also got sunglasses to keep bugs out of my eyes when I'm riding my bike (I must ride my bike approx 3 miles to work every day now) and so took more pictures of myself, one of which you can see in the forums :3
And that's Friday, August 14th in the life of Andres a.k.a. iRawk!

lol guitar hero..i fail at it. But its still super fun 🙂
Yesh, Guitar Hero is win. It’s the one thing I succeed at where most other people fail. It’s the reason why I play it :]
Rock Band > Guitar Hero
Simply because you can play with your friends, and you don’t just amp up the difficulty every new game for Rock Band
In Guitar Hero you can play with your friends in GH: World Tour, GH: Metallica, GH: Smash Hits, and in the upcoming GH:5 which has some AMAZING new party features, and Band Hero (Which I will NOT be getting). I also play Rock Band/Rock Band 2, and I like it for its wider range of DLC. I do not, however, like the graphics, or the hammerons/pulloffs… I prefer GH’s system.
