Talisman Online Review

By In Uncategorized

I've played this game for a long time
Talisman Online

Gameplay:

Talisman Online's gameplay doesn't bring anything new to the table. The only way to level is to do dungeon runs which is sucky experience, quest (best way), and group competition. Group Competition is where waves of enemies come in, and you have to protect this guy.

In Talisman, you get ID Gems which is where you can upgrade your items. If you get a Green ID gem, and you have a white weapon, you can go enchant it, and make it green. If you get a blue ID gem, you can do the same. It goes like this:

White – Worst
Green – Average
Blue – Above Average
Golden – Godly

The money system is exactly like World of Warcraft's. In case you don't know what that's like, it's copper, silver, and gold. Copper is the least, silver is the middle, and gold is the most.

The max level in Talisman Online is 65. It used to be 60, and I went back a lot of times. I went back when it was 63, and 65. The bad thing is, there is no new content AT ALL for the lower levels. They just add more content for the higher levels. I went back to find there is nothing else to do at all besides questing, and the competition. The dungeons also suck.

Classes:

Monk – Basically a warrior. They use weapons called shovels, or you can use staffs. They're basically the tanks in the game. Each weapon has different skills. The shovels use the most boring skills. They're nothing special, but I used them. On the other hand, staffs use fire attacks. They're not magic attacks, like a mage. The staff just basically catches fire.

Assassin – Assassins have the coolest weapons. If you have ever played God of War, they're EXACTLY like the chain weapons. It's pretty cool. The other weapon is a dagger. Daggers are stronger, and Chains are AoE (Area of Effect).

Fairy – They use these floating orbs, and they can heal. It's nothing special

Tamer – They are just your average regular bow/crossbow class, except they can capture in game monsters, and tame them. They will level as you battle with them. You can also name them. The monster you tame comes with one skill, and the tamer's skills are pretty dull as well.

Wizard – They get swords. The difference between weapons is that one is a skyblade, and one is a sword, or something like that. One uses ice, and the other uses fire. The fire is way cooler.

Did I mention they were gender locked? =.=

Wizard – Boy/Girl
Monk – Boy
Fairy – Girl
Tamer – Girl
Assassin – Boy

Community:

The game is very populated. It has six server, and all are populated. It doesn't have a helpful community. They usually just ignore you, but you can make some friends.

Graphics:

The graphics are above average, but they're not the best I've seen. They are good for a free to play game.

Summary:

The game is average. It will interest you for awhile, but you will go very bored after awhile. The quests are all, kill 20 people, or just randomly walking to places, and talking to people. I would give it a try, but I'm not making any promises.

Pros:

Populated servers
Cool weapons
SOME decent looking skills

Cons:

Gender-locked classes
Repetitive gameplay
Bad translation
Some dull skills

Score: 6.5/10

Sorry, wanted to use spoiler tags. lol
