this is something I wrote with almost no inspiration at all.
not meant to be taken seriously, just something to consider.

It was a day like any other.
He said something funny, she laughed. Their friends laughed.
He took both her hands, palms facing down wards, hers facing upwards, and their fingers intertwined.
She smiled, he smiled.
He pulled her gently towards him, and as if by nature, she let go of his hands, and pulled him in for a hug. He reciprocated.
She pulled out a knife, and ever so slightly plunged it into his back.
He fell to the ground.
She remained standing.
Everyone was gone.
The silence forced the world to a halt.
He woke up. "Fuck." he muttered to himself. Still dazed and confused with thoughts swirling in his head like electrons in orbit, he looked at his clock. He squinted, and he made out the neon green numbers on his bedside clock. 8:36.
"Fucking hell." he said to himself. It has to be later than that, right? He opened the blinds and cringed as the sunlight blew into his room like an angry pimp ready to choke a bitch. He grabbed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. Side stepping his guitar patch cord and his stand, he walked out of his room, through the living room, to the lobby, and made his way up the stairs. His mother was in the kitchen, doing something that she would end up complaining about later.
He took his toothbrush, a Colgate 360 with orange patterning and dirty black outlines between the patterns from months of misuse. He squirted some toothpaste on to the brush and brushed.
He walked back to the living room, and hit the power button on his computer. He bleakly looked out the window behind his monitor, eyes still prematurely adjusting to the sunlight. "Fuck me." he whispered. He already knew what she was going to say, but that didn't bother him as much as the rest of the world. The rest of the world, just existing.
He sat down at his computer desk, and waited for the computer to boot up. He logged into IM, and double clicked the contact "Sunny".
Him: hello.
Her: hi.
Him: we need to talk. after church on sunday. it'll be quick.
Her: okay.
Him: i'd like this awkward tension in the air to be gone.
Her: en.*
He closed to chat window and stared out the back window again.
"It's gonna be a long fucking Sunday."
