Music and Audio Production.

By In Uncategorized

I'm in a polytechnic course.

People say music is not something to make a living out of. But I'd like to.

In this course, we learn how to 'make' music, instead of performing it. It interests me to no end how a sawtooth wave makes your guitar sound trippy.

We have to learn how to play keyboards too.

I've been slacking so bad.

I had a mock mid-semester test the other day.

My lecturer told me that I was like a musician hired by an orchestra for a concert, and sightreading the orchestral score on the concert itself, even when I know my sightreading is bad. Very bad.

I believe no other comment is worse to a musician.

It's partly my fault as well, I've been packing so much into so little time, that I didn't have much time to practice stuff for school.

I believe I'm mildly depressed. The work keeps piling up.

Oh.

My course focuses on the production aspect of music. So we're like the sound guys, or producer guys producin' stuff, yo.

But I fail so much on the musical aspect of it.

My musical theory is shit, yo.

And then my best friend got pissed with me.

Nothing makes me sadder than that.

I believe it's my fault.

As usual.

🙂

Cheer up, at least you have some idea of what you want with your life. Its always good to know what you want. Once you know what you have to do, its a matter of working hard for it.
