"Incoming on Runway 30, Acknowledge."
"Acknowledged, Hotel Golf Uniform. Proceed with caution, crosswind rose to 26 knots southwesterly."
"Say again."
"I say again, pro-"
The sharp, screaming gust of wind tore at the Cub plane's left wing, raising it. The pilot was almost swept off his seat. Banking the control stick to the left, he attempted to counter-act the wind, but it was too late. He was 150 ft above the runway, and much too fast. The crosswind kept at it, pushing the wing higher and higher. The plane was almost full vertical as the pilot swiftly shut off all engines, cooling down the propellers. The plane's nose dropped, decreasing the altitude even further.
The pilot strained against the stick and slammed down his left foot on the rudder, trying but failing to keep the plane upright. Bypassing the runway, he was flying quickly over a bean field. The right blade of the propeller hit the ground and dug in, skidding the aircraft upwards. The pilot felt a heaving sensation in his stomach as the nose smashed into the dirt, the wing flipping over the fuselage. With a oddly finale, the plane crashed down, upside-down, into the beans, the propeller blade stuck halfway back to the runway.
His straps undone, the pilot immediately tried to crawl out of the crushed cockpit…the engine was shut down as the wind blew lazily by, fire notwithstanding..
True story.
I am currently sitting in the York Soaring classroom, the light flickering as I strain my internet connection to it's fullest potential. 24 hours ago, I was sitting in an infirmary bed, being fed painkiller pills by a hot nurse.
Oh, I miss those breasts pills. When she first walked in I yelled "PILLZ HERE".
>.> Bloody L4D infecting my brains..
Oh, my head hurts.
Outpost: Part II is hopefully going to be released this weekend, if not, the week after. I've been working on the background plot when I realized I only have one chapter out and shouldn't be working on the schematics of the infection conspiracy..
Although I should be putting all I can down on paper, considering the news that I received from my my psychologist that visited me up in Artur on the way to a friend's house.
Achievement!
You have earned the title of: Researcher!
For all future reference, when I say lie, I mean a lie. When I say I made something up, it's my disorder.
Pseudologia Fantastica. Also known as mythomania, or pathological lying, is one of several terms applied by psychiatrists to the behaviour of habitual or compulsive lying.
It was first described in the medical literature in 1891.
One definition of pathological lying is the following: "Pathological lying is falsification entirely disproportionate to any discernible end in view, may be extensive and very complicated, and may manifest over a period of years or even a lifetime."
Defining Characteristics:Not listed as a symptom in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)
The stories that are made up usually have some element of truth attached to them.
They are neither a manifestation, or delusion, or some ethereal form of psychosis. Rather, the person will admit the the lie when s/he chooses to remember it.
The fabricative tendency is long lasting; it is not provoked by the immediate situation or social pressure as much as it originates with the person's innate urge to act in accordance.
A motive for the story can be discerned. Normally, it is to put the person in a good light, or brighten a situation that would otherwise ruin the scenario.
Charles Dike, M.D., a forensic psychiatrist and clinical instructor in psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, believes that mythomania should be included in the DSM. He also states that "it is questionable whether it is always a conscious act and whether pathological liars have control over their lies."
Dike can suck my dike.
I get a headache that I forget about. When I make a story up, it's like there's a second mind speaking for me, with different morals, ideals, paradigms, everything. When the story is finished, I reenter the conversation as if nothing happened. And I will not remember what happened. Sometimes, the second state proceeds until the topic is changed.
And weeks or months later, I remember the ordeal..and I can't do a thing about it.
And hey, if you think I'm making this up..you're making a paradox. 🙂
But the main point of me explained all this to you all is that it's getting worse.
A side effect of pseudologica fantastica is mild long term memory loss. My doctor basically said that I'll remember basic mind skills like 2+2, but I may forget about my mother. Or anyone close to me. Which, I would like to exclaim, includes you all. I might forget about you guys, or some VuTalers individually. I may forget about playing Maple Story for 2 years, or my best friend, or what a troll is.
I may even forget what my disorder is, or that I have it. It's like..imagine you have a random headache and 5 minutes later, you can't remember your best friend. And you don't know what's going on.
It might initiate a mental breakdown.
And if that happens..I may have to go under watch of my psychologist, and some other doctors I don't know.
I've started to create memory cues, little things like website bookmarks, letters, notes, files..things that might help me remember things I may forget.
Also….this is hard to explain. Let's use that wonderful occlusion we call an example.
If I forgot about Mike..I would forget about every memory involving Mike, including memories of Connie and Mike. My brain segments things and each memory is like a shared file. Once one part of the file dies..the whole things perishes.
I..apologize, in advance.
Good news, it might not happen. I might get "cured", because after a certain age threshold, my memories are not under dangerous attacks from my own brain. So when I'm older..my castle might build a moat and forever be protected.
Fingers crossed.
That was long. Where the hell are my pills
~Pir <3
P.S. I flew for over a hour today, caught some nice thermals and went up about 1500 ft. That's a lot for a pathetic 233 glider. xD Best flight I ever had.
P.S.S. 1000+ word win!

So since we’re all connected to Mike you would in turn forget about us all right?

You can’t…
We love you Pirky. <3
PLATONICALLY!
Good luck. ^^;
I’ve never heard about that before. That’s crazy. So the same thing causes habitual, involuntary lying and memory loss?
This reminds of Ef: A Tale of Memories, if anyone’s seen it.
Yeah, tar that was exactly what i was telling pir about earlier. So sad. =(
Just checking D:
Any memories connected to Mike.
It works in complicated ways. I wouldn’t forget about VuTales because I still ave memories of it from other people, but anything pertaining to Mike, including blogs, topics..anything, goes poof.
So basically, your mind tells you that something else happens and practically overwrites the memory, until your brain goes “AW SHIET I NEED TO SYSTEM RESTORE” and then it comes back?
Good luck, and godspeed. ):
We’ll miss you.
(Btw… shouldn’t it be PPS? Sorry, I’m nitpicking. :/)
PIRKY We love youuuuuu.

I’ll be here as long as my brain cooperates. There’s nothing I can realyl do to stop it or stimulate it, but if it happens..I’ll have to stay on here 24/7 to not forget anything.
