I’m famous!

By In Uncategorized

Hey guys it’s been a while, right? Sorry, although I haven’t been posting I’ve been doing a bit of lurking lately. I’ve also been communicating with the other VuTalers via MSN group chat so it’s not like I was completely gone, right? Right.

Let’s get you guys updated on what’s going on with my gaming “career”. As you all know the infamous Black Ops came out, and to the people who read my blog on my rise of Modern Warfare 2 may infer that I have purchased the game.

No. I did not get Black Ops, nor do I ever plan on getting it. My interest in first person shooters was beginning to fade, so I felt that the need to purchase a game that was essentially the same thing as Modern Warfare 2 was unnecessary. Rather, I was beginning to catch an interest in playing fighting games. Yep, all different kinds of fighting games. Street Fighter 4, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and more recently Marvel vs Capcom 3. (Mostly Brawl.) So what’s the most logical thing to do once I pick up a game? GO COMPETITIVE YEAHHHHHHH

I didn’t want to leave my team (WARgasm) in Modern Warfare 2 without letting them know first, though. I apologetically gave a public speech of resignation in front of my clan, leaving leadership to my first hand man. I told them I may be back one day if I can regain my interest for the game back, but it would be rather unlikely. Proud that I had left the series of Call of Duty with such an inspirational team, I went on to create a new team for the popular competitive/casual fighting game known as SUPAH SMASH BRUTHUS BRAWL.

I was never bad at Brawl. I had played it casually with my friends back when it was released, but I never got really into it. After quitting for 2 years, I found myself reacquiring a taste for the popular nintendo game again. This time, I was inspired to go further just as I was in CoD.

I started playing again (this time competitively) around September of 2010. After gathering my “crew” with the people who played Smash in my town, I proceeded to play the game “intensely”. (Note that I don’t play games just for competition; it’s fun! Competition is what makes my gaming enjoyable.) I would play with my friends a lot, advancing my meta-game past what I thought was possible when I started again.

I went to my first tournament this January. It turns out that I surprised the community by placing 17th (out of 60). I had caused an upset the match before I was eliminated against a popular player who decided to underestimate me. Nevertheless I had created a small name for myself in that tournament; “the random who came out of nowhere by the name of False”.

I went to several more tournaments, placing higher and higher as I kept going. I’m still not known as one of the top, but to some sense some consider me as “pro” status. In fact, I compiled this amazing combo video/highlights.

Yeah so that’s it right now.

I’m thinking of buying MW2 for the 360 so I can play with my friends.
They all switched back from Black Ops =/

I (temporarily) traded my Black Ops for inFamous with my friend.
It seems that, even though he likes playing online, I got the better out of deal.
Keep brawlan broseph. o:

I want black ops, man. I’m pretty good at it, but then there are days where I suck, especially when playing in the morning.
