Oh wow, I've finally come to the realization that my high school life more than half over. This time next year, I'll have to start preparing for university. Things just hit you, don't they? Just thinking about my courses next year frighten me.
Math 12
Chemistry 11 Honours
Physics 11 Honours
Social Studies 11
Mandarin 12
Accounting 11
Choir
Chamber Choir
And since I have two free blocks due to the choirs, I'm thinking of inserting Psychology 11 in there too. I think I'm going to have to work myself to death to get a 90% average. Which I want because I want NEED scholarships; my family's too broke to actually afford to go through university without me getting a part time job.
Ahh….getting back on topic. Time really flies in high school, doesn't it? Well, if it didn't for you, shut up XD; it did for me! It feels like just yesterday (clichéd, I know) that I had walked into high school, wondering how different it would be from elementary school (yes, my district has no middle school). Despite the homework and all that other stuff, high school went by much faster than elementary school, even though it was only shorter by a few years…
After this is university. Maybe I should have chosen a more…non-extra-curricular-centred major… I'm planning to major in music, which is not a 'hard' major, but it sure sounds like a lot more work than say…majoring in Science or something. Lessons every week with a professor, normal classes, theory classes, other music-related classes and extra-curricular activities like joining an ensemble. Joy.
Or maybe I should go with being a Psych major XD.

I always wondered what the hell do you really do with a music major sides maybe teaching?
Play music. FO’ LYFE!
Enjoy High school while you can T.T
Ideally this is the year you’re supposed to start prepping for uni.
@ DarkDragon: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A MUSIC MAJOR!!! =) I’m planning to go into Music Composition and Technology, and then maybe find a job in the recording industry.
@ Gujju: I’m trying, I’m trying XD.
Oh I got a couple of friends wanting to major in music :O
I and I THINK another friend want to major in psych, but it’s way too early for us to be sure XD
Majoring in music is pretty tough, because with music you can’t really “study” Some of it is NATURAL talent, not talent you can obtain by just practicing. Which is why I am soooo not going to major in music, because I don’t have the talent, nor the initiative 😀
@ snowhamster: Yeah, I know; music requires talent, which I have none of. Ah well, it’s not like I’m going into performance anyway ^^.
I might change my major, actually. I’ve been looking into psycology more and more..and besides, I love the way the mind works. I’ve researched a lot about it, that’s also why I love helping people with their problems.
Psych interests me too XD; I sometimes spend my free time reading on mental disorders (wow, that sounds so nerdy).
Psychology is seriously the most cliche major ever. Aside from ‘undeclared’ it is probably the most popular major out there. Seems a lot of young people just find something grossly fascinating human psychology. I personally find the subject rather bland. o_o

So do I!
Well, I’m a bit more justified because of my stupid thing..but yea, I love the methods of classification and extraction the human mind uses. 😀
I come with a natural born sense of knowing how and why a person reacts as they do, due to psychology.
i don’t feel like expending my knowledge. It might be horrible if I got in any relationship and could predict everything about ’em. Relationships require a little bit of unpredictability!
you’re atill taking mandarin!? O-o i herd that stuff was hard
Lul I’m doing an advanced cert (Trinity Guildhall) for piano next year and I’m considering pursuing music when I grow up. What I’m afraid of is not being able to get a job because of all the competition. D; Music industry looks pretty unstable. Look at all the thousands of musicians a hundred times more talented than you! -pessimism-
Oh, psychology major? I don’t know… Looks pretty risky too. Someone from the internet working as a cinema cashier told me her boss had a PhD in psychology… But as you can see he’s merely the manager of a cinema branch.
@ dee: Yup, since I suck at languages; might go with one I can already write.
@ Reve: Music is really really really hard if you’re going into performance, but you might have a easier time with stuff like music production or something similar.
I want to major in Psychology too. <3
I also thought that I would work my butt off Junior year, that did not happen. >_< Start planning now. Don't wait. I thought Business would be a chiche major, since it’s known for making money and the like. A lot of kids from my school are majoring in that.
Most people I know are either going into: a) medicine or b) business. xD
