Much of classic WoW has "inaccessible" areas where players aren't meant to roam. Luckily, there are a number of areas where with careful jumping and time you can gain access to these areas.
Burning Steppes has one such place, where you can get access to the mountains bordering Burning Steppes, Elwynn Forest and a little bit of Redridge Mountains.
Jumping on the right rock, then using a mount to jump across you manage to get here:
A little bit of jumping and walking up the mountain you can get to this eye candy, an empty cave and tent:
Behind this area is the border between Burning Steppes and Elwynn:
A random tile of grass on a hill in this area:
On the far side of this flatness, you can overlook Elwynn, just out of range of this picture is the area where you can buy Human's racial mounts.
Across from this area is where all three subzones meet:
This spot on the minimap (Yes I know I have too many addons putting junk on my map ):
That flat area from the other side:
The bordering area between Burning Steppes and Redridge
Jumping into this area (Slow Fall ) :
Ahhhh, the damn invisible wall. You can see it here, obviously, but this wall seems to exist around certain areas of the Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge, both here and on the IF side to the north. Here, it goes along the tile difference, to a right angle to the left behind me:
Said wall traps me in this pit :
Attempt two
This time I went to the north. This is the right side of Burning Steppes and Elwynn.
The waterfalls as seen from from Steppes
Kiting the Drake to the IF NPCs. The two healers quickly went OOM, but they all managed to take it down eventually.
There's a small pit in this area:
Which takes some jumping if you fall in:
One of the empty camps in this area:
This area is pretty boring, so time to leave:
I'll probably make another blog on the area above IF. Where you can get to the airport, farms and a few other empty and undeveloped areas.

Don’t know why, but the random tile of grass really made me laugh.

Just becuase the game I play called WoW has the same acronym as World of Warcraft, looks the same, and features some of the same place names does not mean I play World of Warcraft.
