ODST and Runescape: Scallops and Candy Canes.

Yep, 's been awhile since I last blogged.

I'm still into ODST, simply because I don't own the game (because my parents are concerned about me playing ONE hour on the 360, or anything else for that matter). I got a lend for it, and it's still pretty awesome. Without Live, however, I don't get to do a lot more than I want, including getting Vidmaster: Deja Vu. The guide for it looks incredible, since there's an extreme variation of the natural gameplay of the last level, something that is more than enough to balance out all of the challenges of the Vidmaster, which, for the purposes of spoiler alert, I will not reveal.

I finished the campaign that I nearly finished in my last experience. It's fun, so long that you don't get obliterated by the garbage disposal unit your ally is using (10-ton truck > 1 ton warthog/3 ton scorpion). I went back to some previous missions to get the simple achievements I had missed (how could I not have gotten 15 headshots in a level!? Oh right, 4-play co-op catastrophe). I think I failed the "Naughty, naughty" and "Audiophile" achievements, for reasons unknown, but I'll get to it eventually.

Regarding both my level of gameplay and firefight, I realized that I could not get the 200k achievements within the ONE hour time limit placed on me. Drones are already a bugger, even on easy, ESPECIALLY the ones with shields. Vehicles aren't much of a bother, but they do distract me from creeping infantry, mostly jackals, some brutes, and when catch is on, grunts become a REAL pain at close-quarters. Hunters are tough enough in non-vehicular maps, so are chieftains, and engineers are simply irritating.

In Runescape, I'm still trying to PK, which is a pain when you're a conservative player like me (runs at the first/second sign of danger and kills the noobs, hands down), because I can't expend the ~60% EP I accumulated. I finally peaked over the 1-million mark (yes, I suck THAT bad), but not too shabby for a non-member. I think that if I could spend some of the EP, I could get some nice pieces of rune or artifacts, but it's hard to say. I'm only about level 54, because my first account long ago was hacked, long ago. I have not used this one a lot, and mostly for PKing purposes (for like an hour or two… for obviously stated reasons…).

I seriously can't wait for Winter Break or any other break. I'm close to ripping my hair out to the point where I'll have the central bald spot with hair growin' all 'round it. Sorta like my teacher.

ODST isn’t worth your money. Game was so short… barely any different than Halo 3 in terms of Gameplay. ODST is practically like a more vulnerable version of Master Chief. One annoying difference is that ODST throws grenades overhand, while Spartans/Elites whip it from their side (by looking at the arc, anyways).

I think that it’s also worth noting that, the aforementioned statement taken into account, that ODSTs have a weaker trajectory than that of Chief; I tried to tag an engineer housing thing that was situated on a wall from maybe a good 20-30 meters across and 10-20 meters up with a spike; it hit the floor. Twice.

It’s been speculated that the Plasma Pistol in ODST follows the enemy a lot better than in Halo 3 (To make up for the lack of BR, I’m guessing). I wonder. I never noticed, since I always adapt to the system… I don’t really give a crap. I just play.

Except the grenade throw. That pissed me off.
