Rebecca let out an tired sigh. The sun was shining down on her, the heat was exhausting. She noticed that the closer she got to her destination, the more unnourished the land appeared. “So Bogdan’s evil even affects nature.” she muttered to herself. As she continued her journey, she found herself in a thick smog. Coughing and eyes watering, she pulled the collar of her overcoat over her face.
A sudden snap around her sent Rebecca’s hand to draw an arrow and lock her bow string. She listened closely, trying to figure out the location of the stranger. More rustling came from her left. She had found her target and drew the arrow back, ready to release…until a brown hare scrambled out into sight. Rebecca let out a sigh of relief and lowered her bow.
As she returned the arrow to her case, she noticed that off in the distance there was a drawbridge that led to VuTalia. A broken one, to say the least. When she squinted her eyes, she could make out the figure of a man. Whether that man was the one who cut the bridge or a man who had just discovered the broken bridge, Rebecca did not know. Nonetheless, she decided she would figure that out by simply following him closely.
She swung the case strap over her shoulder and ran off at a steady pace.
